The poor soul we took in a few days ago.
There are always emergencies. Always suffering. Always another animal desperately in need of help.

Meet Nuvi. She is disabled and has drag wounds from pulling herself along the ground. When she arrived, she was covered in ticks and was diagnosed with two serious tick-borne blood parasite diseases: Babesia and Anaplasmosis.
She has a long road ahead, but we are doing everything we can to give her the care and treatment she deserves.

With all the madness around us, we continue to save them.
Some tourists delivered this beautiful, shy boy to us after finding him struggling to survive on the streets. He was weak from blood parasites, almost completely hairless, and had nearly given up.
Now, everything has changed.
His name is Tadeo, and now marks the beginning of his second chance. With the right veterinary care, medication, nutritious food, and lots of love, he has the opportunity to recover and finally experience the life every dog deserves.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help give Tadeo the treatment and care he needs to regain his strength and health.

These are the cases we fear the most: train accidents and hakka patas (explosive jaw bombs).

This beautiful girl was rushed to our sanctuary today after being struck by a train. As you can see, her injuries are horrific. Our team fought hard to stabilise her because, in cases like this, shock is often the greatest threat to survival. Treating shock and getting patients stable is always our first priority.

Sadly, this is the harsh reality for so many dogs in Sri Lanka and we see devastating injuries like this far too often, and every one is a race against time.

We will do everything we possibly can to give this poor soul a chance to survive. But emergency treatment is expensive. Admission test kits, blood tests, pain relief, medications, fluids, wound care, and ongoing intensive treatments all add up very quickly.
