The Veterinary of the Year Awards (VOYA 2025), proudly organized by the and graced by the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture & Livestock Development, Hon. Mutahi Kagwe, brought together veterinarians from all walks of life to celebrate dedication, resilience, and excellence in animal care across Kenya.

A truly inspiring evening connecting with brilliant minds dedicated to wildlife health and conservation.

We joined the panel discussing CITES, the future of wildlife veterinary medicine, saving endangered species, and the day-to-day realities of vets in the wildlife space.

Dr. Gabriel Ouma highlighted the crucial role of CITES in protecting threatened species like the Northern White Rhino, and the importance of both wildlife and domestic animal health in maintaining a balanced ecosystem.
