Tick Fever in Dogs: What Every Pet Owner Should Know

As a dog owner, protecting your pet from ticks is more than just preventing itching; it’s about saving their life.

Ticks can transmit Babesiosis, a serious disease caused by a parasite that attacks your dog’s blood. Once an infected tick bites your dog, it can take 24–48 hours for the infection to spread.

The risk is higher in areas with many ticks and unfortunately, they are common around us.

How to Protect Your Dog:

✔ Use consistent tick control treatment
✔ Check your dog regularly for ticks
✔ Avoid heavily wooded or grassy areas
✔ Remove ticks immediately if found
✔ Visit your vet for regular check-ups

Early detection can make all the difference.

Call 0722 646 191 today to book a check-up or get the right tick prevention for your dog.

Your pet’s health is in your hands, act early, stay protected.

🐾 MONDAY EDUCATIONAL POST

Is Your Pet Protected Against Rabies?

Rabies is 100% preventable through vaccination — but once symptoms appear, it is almost always fatal.

Vaccinating your pet is not just about compliance. It is about protecting:

✔ Your pet
✔ Your family
✔ Your community

In a busy city like Nairobi, prevention is responsibility.

Do not wait until it is too late.

Being in boarding doesn’t mean being bored! 🐾

Patty has been with us since 30th November, when he came in as a tiny little one. Today, he’s grown so much—big, healthy, and full of playful energy! Watching him thrive has been such a joy, and soon Patty will be heading home.

At St. Austin’s, our boarding pets receive love, care, playtime, and a safe space to grow and relax while their owners are away.

As the year comes to an end in just a few hours…
Guess who popped in to get ready for the New Year? Rolex!

Rolex came in for his annual vaccinations, deworming, and flea control; all sorted before the celebrations begin. The New Year often comes with a lot of excitement, pressure, and busy schedules, and pet care can easily be forgotten.

Take a lesson from Rolex and make sure your pet’s vaccinations and parasite control are up to date before the year rolls over.

Visit us today or call 0722 646 191 to book and start the New Year with peace of mind, knowing your pet is protected.

Because a healthy pet makes for a happy New Year!

We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Meet Patty the Kitten

Patty has been boarding with us at the clinic from 1st this month through to 16th January, and she has truly settled in beautifully. We don’t just board our furry guests, we take time to check on them, play with them, and make them feel safe and loved while their families are away.

Just yesterday, Patty also received her Cat Flu vaccination, because good care continues even during boarding.

As you plan for your holidays, don’t forget to plan for your pets too. Make sure they are fully vaccinated, dewormed, and up to date with flea and tick control so they stay healthy and happy while you’re away.

✨ Happy Holidays from all of us! ✨
Your pet’s comfort and wellbeing are always our priority.
