Meet Roadah: the little heroine who chose the right humans at the right time.
Along James Gichuru Road, a small cat kept following people as they walked by… not begging for food, but silently pleading for help, safety, and love. Two ladies leaving lunch noticed her gentle persistence. She looked heavily pregnant, her eye injured, and it was clear she was only moments away from queening.
Moved with compassion, the ladies called KSPCA for assistance. They were asked to provide a landmark for pickup and one of them immediately thought of St. Austin’s Clinic. So they gently brought her over. Despite her situation, this sweet girl remained calm, friendly, and trusting.
Pickup wasn’t possible that day, but early the next morning, just as KSPCA Kenya informed us they were on the way, something beautiful happened…
Roadah began queening.
By the time she was finally picked up, she had delivered four healthy kittens. A mother’s courage, perfect timing, and the kindness of strangers came together to give this little family a second chance.
We are incredibly grateful to the two ladies who acted with love and urgency — and to KSPCA for stepping in to ensure Roadah and her babies would be safe.
❤️ We wish Roadah and her four kittens a safe, healthy, and happy journey ahead.
