Rest in Peace Dear Lottie 💔🌈✨🥺
Our beloved Lottie was the all-round-good girl dream of a black lab, the kindest, most gentle and loving lady. She never pushed in front of other dogs, even though she loved her food, a stick and some fuss, she always waited patiently for her turn. And let you keep your treat-dispensing fingers - only just 😉 - so you could give her a belly rub later.
Lottie’s beautiful soul was what everyone hopes for when they welcome a dog into their home. A fun-loving, patient and grateful girl, never demanding, just joyful. She was, however, no pushover, and would calmly put others in their place if they were rude! She kept her brothers in line - using her authoritative energy to respectfully remind them that this lady was in fact the boss, was permitting their boisterous play and would only tolerate so much!
On walks, Lottie was always near, whether bounding along the beach and galloping in the shallows or strolling contentedly, she knew where you were and was never far from returning to your side. As she slowed down in her old age, she spent more time sniffing the wind and smiling, and brought up the rear while her brothers and the others played bouncy games.
Lottie was the best big sister to Charlie Bear and Milo, and taught them all the good habits they know. And was almost always at the back of group photos because she let the boys take the limelight, and never seemed to mind. She was just perfect; a gorgeous, wise, wonderful girl, with the assured nature of one who knows how much she’s loved.
We’re so glad you knew how much we loved you, Lottie, and feel so lucky to have spent such beautiful times with you. Especially those of us who had the pleasure of staying over, (of course we all let you sleep on the bed), you were always the first up to snuggle into the best spot and gave the best great big brown eyes gaze.
🌈❤️🐾🕊️Sweet dreams, beautiful Lottie. We’ll hold you in our hearts forever. 🕊️❤️🐾🌈
