I took LeashAgain to VivaTech Paris.

75,000 people. Investors from every corner of the world. Founders building things that haven't existed yet.

And me, with 90 seconds to explain why rescue dog families deserve better support than they're currently getting.

I talked to investors. To founders. To strangers in hallways who didn't ask but heard the pitch anyway.

Some nodded politely. Some asked for the deck. Some are still in my inbox.

Here's what I learned: the problem LeashAgain solves is universal. Every country has rescue dogs. Every country has families who adopt them and then struggle alone in the first 90 days. Every country has returns that didn't have to happen.

This is Shima. She moved across the world for a quieter life.

Rue didn't trust easily.

She came from a loving home — but life changed, kids came, and suddenly she didn't fit anymore. So she found herself starting over, at an age when starting over is hard.

Resource guarding. Reactive with other dogs. Growling if you touched her while she slept. She wasn't a difficult dog. She was a dog who had learned that the things she loved could disappear.

Then she met her person.

A woman who had just lost her Minnie — almost 18 and a half years together — and was quietly watching, waiting for the one. She saw Rue's profile in early June and just knew.

They gave her the bed. They gave her time. They gave her patience through every growl, every snap, every moment she tested whether this was real.

Norah was found in the rubble. Tiny, alone, maybe 8 weeks old — in the middle of nothing. A woman named Guitta picked her up, fed her, and refused to walk away. That decision changed everything.

She was fostered in Lebanon, crossed an ocean, flew to Montreal, and I drove to bring her home. She's been through more in her short life than most dogs ever will.

She's loving and joyful and completely devoted to her people. She's also fear reactive — and that's okay. That's her story, not her limit. We work on it every single day. 🐾

Some dogs just need someone to not walk away. Guitta didn't. I didn't. And Norah keeps showing us it was worth it.
