🚨 Justice is Coming – Suspect Arrested & Federally Charged in Hawaiian Monk Seal Rock Attack!
Justice is finally beginning to move in the case that outraged Hawaii and shocked animal lovers around the world.
Igor Mykhaylovych Lytvynchuk, 38, of Washington state, has been arrested and federally charged after authorities say he was seen on video throwing a large rock toward Lani, the beloved Hawaiian monk seal, on a Maui beach.
He is now facing serious charges under the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammal Protection Act — laws created to protect some of the most vulnerable wildlife in the world. If convicted, he could face prison time and major financial penalties.
For many people, this case is about more than one shocking moment on the beach. It is about sending a message that endangered animals are not defenseless targets, and that harming protected wildlife must carry real consequences.
The good news is that Lani is safe, and her story has inspired a wave of support from people who believe Hawaii’s wildlife deserves respect and protection.
Thank you to everyone who spoke up, shared the story, and refused to stay silent.
