Started the scent discrimination phase for Ollie.
This is a cold trail. Meaning it’s been laid before Ollie came out to the field. Started the trail from a scent article from the layer. There was an on and off breeze going through the field and Ollie has learnt to deal with it well.

I TAKE BACK MY WORDS!

J&K is beautiful. But you get a sense that the beauty almost has a sense of sadness to it.
The place I was staying at was so beautiful with picturesque mountains and a stream passing right by us. But the feeling of beauty is almost suppressed by the possibility of danger lurking amongst the trees. The fact that everyone present were living there, away from their families months on end and they had a duty to perform didn’t let anyone stop and enjoy the beauty around us.
J&K feels like a beautiful bride that isn’t happy on her wedding day.
The Army’s hospitality was nothing short of amazing. Awesome food, a nice cozy place to stay and everyone greeting you with “Jai Hind saab”. I think we need to do that more in the civilian world.
The dogs were nice and took to the training very quickly. But the most beautiful thing for me was to watch handlers who previously took it as a task now get excited about their dogs work and want to push their dogs abilities further, and taking it as a challenge.
I am grateful for this opportunity and I’ve tried to do my best and I really think it has started showing on the dogs as well as the handlers.
It felt like a long time staying here away from my family and loved ones. Makes you really think how our soldiers do it. As I head back I am filled with even more respect for what our forces do for us and I’m grateful that I got this opportunity to serve them.

It’s been a bumpy road — with Kato’s strong personality and Abhishek’s past trial setbacks, the odds weren’t exactly stacked in their favour.
But this Dastan Memorial PSA Trial, they came together, stood steady, and brought home their PDC.
Makes this win a lot more meaningful.

Arya, Ronin’s daughter, had a slower start than expected due to a few foundational gaps — but every step has been a valuable lesson.
We’re glad Kushal and Arya have cleared her PDC, and now it’s time to slow things down and clean things up.
The journey continues — stronger, wiser, and more focused.
for now back to the drawing board for a stronger future. 🐾
