Raksha Bandhan Laddus for dogs 🥜🌻🎃

Ingredients

* Peanuts – 1 cup
* Pumpkin seeds – ¼ cup
* Sunflower seeds – ¼ cup
* Ghee – 2 tbsp, added without heating
* Monk fruit sweetener – as per sweetness preference
* Cardamom powder – a pinch

Method

1. Dry roast the peanuts, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds separately. Let them cool completely.
2. Coarsely grind everything together.
3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
4. Add ghee, monk fruit sweetener and a pinch of cardamom.
5. Mix well until the mixture starts coming together.
6. Take small portions and press firmly to shape into laddus.
7. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to help them set.

Tip: If the mixture feels too dry to bind, add a little more ghee, ½ teaspoon at a time.

Whenever we talk about synthetic toys and synthetic colours, most of you always ask us, “So where should we get our toys from?”

That actually inspired us to work on this.

I first got these toys for Burpy and Mimi, and I absolutely loved them. I also looked at the work these guys were doing and really liked their approach.

So we decided to get these made for other dog parents too.

These toys are made of pop canvas material, are handmade and have no synthetic colours. They’re simple, fun and made with a little more thought for our dogs.

They’re now available on our website. ❤️

For the longest time, our old website didn’t have a way to tell you which of our products are cat-friendly. And we know many of you have been asking us about it! 🐱

So, finally, our new website has a little something for our cat people too. ❤️

You’ll now see a cat icon on products that are cat-friendly, and we’ve also created a dedicated card where you can explore all the cat-friendly products in one place.

We don’t have cat-exclusive products just yet, but that’s something we’re working towards. For now, this is our little step towards making sure we can cater to the wellness of both dogs and cats.

A lot of people suddenly start seeing behaviour changes in their dogs and wonder, “How did my calm dog suddenly become so reactive?”

But one thing most people completely miss is sleep.

Sleep can get disrupted because someone came to the house, there’s a new neighbour, construction, the lift, another dog, or simply something new in the environment.

You may not even realise your dog isn’t getting enough uninterrupted sleep.

And then we start going from one behaviourist to another, trainers to trainers, trying to fix the behaviour. But if the underlying stress continues, the behaviour can become a pattern, and eventually it can even start affecting their health.

Sometimes, before we look for another training solution, we need to look at something as basic as sleep.

And that’s exactly why a lot of people miss it.

We’re entering the season when tick-borne diseases become a bigger concern, so keeping a close eye on your dog and staying on top of tick prevention is really important.

There is no one-size-fits-all or blanket solution for tick and flea prevention.

What works for your dog needs to be decided based on their lifestyle, exposure, environment, travel, where they spend their time, and their individual risk.

So instead of blindly following one protocol for every dog, understand your dog’s exposure and choose a prevention plan accordingly.

If your dog has started getting tartar, try this 👇

Charcoal toothpaste + baking powder + coconut oil.

Mix it until you get the same consistency as shown in the video.

Do this once or twice a week with gauze for maintenance.

But if your dog doesn’t let you do it, I get it 😂 Even my dog hates it. In that case, a good bone/chew is probably the easiest option to help with tartar buildup.

Just keep an eye on your dog and don’t force it if they’re uncomfortable. 🐶

Have you seen a dog eating his own p**p or the p**p of another animal?

This is called coprophagia, the scientific term for it.

Sometimes, if there is a lack of nutrients, they may smell those nutrients in their own p**p or another animal’s p**p and eat it. And sometimes, when food is not getting digested properly, they may do this as well.
