Over the years, Romy’s Doggy Oota has remained a heartfelt initiative born during the lockdown — with one simple mission: to feed as many streeties as we possibly can. Every meal we make is crafted with care and delivered with purpose. Our first batches go out as early as 3:30 AM to meet early morning feeders and community schedules, and our final batch is prepared fresh for our daily 600+ streetie feed.
We’ve always believed that more feeders and more kitchens simply means more full bellies — and that’s something to celebrate, not criticize. If our work inspires others to begin their own efforts, we welcome it with open arms.
That said, we've recently heard a few misunderstandings and misrepresentations about how we operate. Just to clarify: we do not store or send food from the previous night. Every batch is cooked fresh, packed, and dispatched immediately. We may not have fancy packaging or machines — but we do have heart, commitment, and transparency. In fact, you’re always welcome to join our rounds, meet our streeties, and see the work firsthand.
Romy’s Doggy Oota has never been about profits. Every rupee goes back into feeding those who depend on us. So while we prefer to stay focused on our work, we felt it was important to address these whispers with clarity and kindness.
Please don’t mistake our silence or simplicity for weakness. We are here for the streeties, and we’ll continue doing what we do best — feeding with love and without ego. The dogs deserve that much.
With gratitude,
Team Romy’s Doggy Oota
