☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER WARNING 🐾☀️

Our pets can struggle in the heat much quicker than we do — even on mild sunny days. Heatstroke can become life-threatening very fast, especially for older pets, flat-faced breeds, overweight pets and those with underlying health issues.

💧 Keep fresh water available
🌳 Provide shade and cool areas
🚫 Never leave pets in cars
🐕 Walk early morning or late evening
🔥 Avoid hot pavements

Signs of heatstroke can include:
❗ Heavy panting
❗ Drooling
❗ Lethargy
❗ Vomiting
❗ Collapse

🐾🇪🇺 BIG NEWS FOR PET LOVERS ACROSS EUROPE! 🇪🇺🐾

Today, the European Parliament has approved the first-ever EU-wide rules to protect cats and dogs — a huge step forward for animal welfare!

🐶🐱 With over 72 million dogs and 83 million cats in the EU, these new laws aim to ensure safer, healthier lives for our furry companions.

✨ What’s changing?
✔️ Ban on harmful breeding practices
✔️ No more ear-cropping or tail-docking
✔️ Mandatory microchipping for pets
✔️ Stronger welfare standards for shelters & kennels
✔️ Crackdown on illegal pet trafficking

🚫 The law also tackles:
• Inbreeding (restricted, with limited exceptions)
• Breeding animals with extreme features that harm their health
• Crossbreeding domestic pets with wild animals

🐕‍🦺 Some working dogs (like police and military) will have limited exemptions for training purposes.

💶 The EU is also tightening control over a €1.3 billion pet market, helping to stop illegal trade from countries like Romania and Bulgaria.

👉 While there was discussion about banning pet sales in shops, this didn’t make the final law.

❤️ A major win for animal rights — and a step toward a kinder Europe for our four-legged friends!

Role Overview
We are seeking a Full-Time Support / Receptionist to join our front-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, multitasking, and being part of a busy, team-oriented hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming clients and managing front-desk operations

Answering phones and handling enquiries

Scheduling appointments and maintaining records

Providing administrative and general support

Working closely with the wider hospital team

Experience Needed

Previous experience in a receptionist, support, or admin role preferred

Experience in a veterinary, medical, or healthcare setting is an advantage

Strong communication and customer service skills

Comfortable working in a team-based environment
