I may not make myself very popular with this opinion, but I’m glad when judges also check the height of AmStaffs. If we want to be honest with ourselves and with our breed, we cannot choose only the parts of the standard that suit us. Preserving correct type, size, and proportions is just as important as everything else. A breed standard is a standard — and as breeders, our responsibility is to protect it, not overlook it.
