🌱 Laminitis season is here.
With the recent grass growth, horse and pony owners should be particularly vigilant for early signs of laminitis. Watch for a short, pottery gait, reluctance to move, warm feet, increased digital pulses, or a horse standing with its front feet stretched forward.
Overweight ponies, good doers and horses with Equine Metabolic Syndrome or Cushing’s Disease are especially at risk.
Early veterinary attention can make a significant difference to the outcome.
