Negative comments on posts about birds coming in or available for rehoming will not be tolerated.
We have strict policies that the birds get matched depending on their needs and we do not change our minds about this
At the end of the day we must hold the birds best interests at heart.
You may be refused a bird multiple times but we have our reasons, ask us what they are in private message if you like but do not slander us for saying no.
We (two ladies) have children, families, other pets, the parrots, jobs, college, lives to deal with on top of doing what we can to make sure parrots get the best homes.
You see a surrender - what you dont see is days,weeks, months of messages and calls, organisation for travel or transport, cage set up, isolation, immediate care, care plans. You see a picture or video of a bird and think thats all that happens. Think about the cleaning, the feeding, the interaction, the worry. We do not get paid for this. This is not a charity. This is a vocation by two women for the best of thr parrots. You may be sent to Amy or Sarah but that is even dependant on what is best for the bird.
We consult with other agencies. We do not have time to be dealing with people annoyed that we wont adopt to them or say that we have too many needs for the bird.
Threats that you will buy your own bird has happened 4 times in the last two week. What do you want me to do with your threat, ??
Remember this is not a funded rescue. This is run entirely on your donations. We dont build up bills in vets or shops for food. So please donate what you can when you can and share our adoptable birds
