June is Microchip Awareness Month 💙

Did you know a microchip is not a GPS tracker?
It’s a permanent ID that helps shelters scan your pet and contact you if they ever get lost.

Did you know its also the law to have your dogs microchippped !

A collar can fall off. A microchip is forever and its not just for dogs. 🐾

There is no feeling worse than the panic of a missing pet. Microchips act as an invisible safety net, ensuring that a simple scan at a vet clinic or shelter can bring your best friend right back to your arms. Let's protect our furry family members this month. ❤️🐾

Celebrate Microchipping Awareness Month by making sure your phone number is up to date in the registry database! 📞📲

Call us today on 029 60039 to book your pets Microchip appointment or alternatively book online via our website www.millstreetveterinarygroup.ie

☆Watch for heavy panting or red gums,
☆never leave an animal in a parked car where temperatures turn fatal in minutes
☆Ensure has plenty of access to shade

As the weather is starting to warm up , it sure is tempting to start thinking of organising your summer holiday plans 🌟🏖

However let's not forget to ensure your pet is vaccinated!
Vaccinating your pets before boarding or travelling is crucial 🩺💉🐾

Vaccines help protect them against highly contagious, potential fatal diseases that can spread rapidly in confined and social environments like kennels and cattery.

Pet boarding facilities such as kennels and cattery require your pets to be up to date with vaccination to help maintain a safe environment for all animals in their care.

Contact us today on 029 60039 to book
Or book online via our online booking system available on www.millstreetveterinarygroup.ie

Unsure if your pet is due our nursing and reception team are always happy to check ✔️

If your pet has lapsed in their vaccine programme it would be advised to have a restart and have a booster in 3-4 weeks time.
