Our car park will be unfortunately closed on Monday, 31st August 2026, due to necessary digging work but the clinic remains open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM as normal.

We got the best news earlier this week when we heard that our wonderful Vet Nurse Rachel had welcomed baby Jack into the world!

A huge congratulations to Rachel and Ger on the arrival of their beautiful little boy. 💙

We all miss Rachel in the clinic while she is currently on maternity leave, but we couldn’t be happier for her. We’re also delighted to hear that all of Rachel’s beloved cats are adapting well to their newest little family member and are settling into life with baby Jack! 🐱👶

We had these gorgeous miniature schnauzer puppies in for their health checks, vaccinations, worming and microchipping. They were so cute, just like their mum Abbie and Dad Bruno who are both beautiful dogs. Miniature Schnauzers are such a lovely breed, they are loyal, affectionate and tend to be quite playful 🥰.

We’re delighted to welcome Veterinary Nurse Muireann to our team!

After completing a BSc in Veterinary Nursing in Athlone, she has continued to follow her passion for companion animal practice.
Muireann is very kind and caring and can be often found in the cattery or in the isolation kennels giving a sick inpatient extra cuddles and encouragement.

When she’s not caring for patients, she loves getting creative. Having also completed a Level 5 qualification in Art and Design, she enjoys making fused glass pieces and creating fine-line drawings.

At home, she’s kept busy by her two cats, Fudge and Harry, who she adores.

A fun fact about Muireann is that, after driving for years, she decided to take on a new challenge and earned her motorbike licence. She now loves exploring new destinations and heading off on weekend adventures.

When we did the animal spirit quiz, Muireann’s is the tiger spirit animal, which represents intuition, confidence, and trusting your instincts — qualities that fit perfectly with veterinary nursing. 🐯🧡🐾
