Well that was a tense few minutes followed by relief, excitement and celebrations all rolled into one!!!

Steps In The Sand makes it two on the bounce this evening winning the Multiples Available On Tote.ie Apprentice Handicap. A fantastic ride by seeing them pull clear from the 2f pole and staying on to win easy by half a length.

Wishing Eoghan Finegan the best on luck as he’s turns pro. He’s a super member of the team here at Charlestown and an all important cog in the wheel!!

Congratulations to Eoghan Finegan, who is the latest point-to-point rider to successfully make the switch to the professional ranks in recent weeks.

The Meath native, who became a conditional jockey at the beginning of the month, only had to wait until his third ride as a professional to get off the mark when scoring at Cork over the weekend.

Fantastic result at the July Festival today with Something Noble winning first time out over hurdles at 50/1. He’s a youngster we’ve always liked and he got a cracking ride from 👏

We were delighted to see Charlestown Racing graduate Deep Cave notch the biggest win of his career at the Grand National Festival on Saturday.

Congratulations to owner Caolan Woods, trainer and all involved.

Deep Cave won his point-to-point for us and owner Susan Bredin on debut at Belcare before selling at the 2022 Aintree Sale.
