** morning update.. 30/08/2025.., she has stopped trembling! She seems a little better this morning and even ate some food overnight. She’s terribly emaciated and we have her on treatment for her hypoproteinemia and ascites (fluid accumulation) which is a life threatening condition. We’ll do all we can for her. We didn’t find any cancer on scans so we’re very hopeful we can save her. Maybe someone couldn’t afford the vet and panicked? If there’s an owner out there please do come forward! ***
**evening update.. she’s trembling and fearful but she’s much more comfortable. She seems grateful to be warm and safe. We’ve run blood tests and we’ve given her parasite treatments. She’s on a drip with pain relief and drugs to treat her protein loss. We’ll do everything we can for her. Thanks for the flood of enquiries and offers to help! We’ve got this!***
** update.. over 50,000 views and nobody has come forward. Looks like she was left to die in a ditch. We had to drain 4 litres of fluid off her abdomen and she’s seriously ill. We’re battling to stabilize her but it’s not looking good. ***
This little dog was found in a ditch locally and handed in late last night. We think there must be an owner locally.
Sadly this dog is very sick and is under our care. We’ve performed diagnostic tests including ultrasound and parvo testing; and we’ve given pain relief and comfort. Sadly the outlook is very poor; but we want to reach out for help to the community to see if there’s an owner somewhere that’s missing this little dog. Our nurses and team are being so kind to this little stray and everything is ok for the moment.
There will be no charge as it’s a stray. Please do come forward if this is your dog and we will help you.
Please everybody share this far and wide. We want to give this situation 48 hours before we need to take some further steps to help this lost and frightened little pet.
