My first rescue to rehome was Ameera. A Rottweiler x Collie, she is now 11 years of age and as young as ever!

Ameera was my first 'own' dog so it was a big decision getting the age , breed , size etc right. Having met a few Rottweilers in work around the time, I loved their personalities.

Having searched many rescues throughout the country , I couldn't find a Rottweiler but all of a sudden Ameeras rehoming picture popped up on Caras page, she didn't look like a Rottweiler so that wasn't what caught my attention. It turns out it was just meant to be!

I honestly believe there is a companion out there for everyone and when choosing I highly recommend you reach out to rescue centres. You can save a life, make a difference and gain a best friend!

When choosing to adopt, you can speak with the foster family, understand what the individual dog likes, see if they match your lifestyle, etc. All of these details at your fingertips to make the best decision you can with that info.
