2026 Hudsons Horses “Hack for Mental Health” 🐴💚

After months of planning, preparation, and trying my best to raise awareness online, the day finally came. I won’t pretend it didn’t scare me — it pushed me completely outside of my comfort zone. I was so worried about what people would think, and I doubted myself more times than I can count. At one point I nearly didn’t go ahead at all… because I kept asking myself, “Who’s going to believe in an 18-year-old trying to do a fundraiser on her own?”

But I’m so glad I didn’t let those thoughts win.

Because on that day, something really special happened — not just for me, but for something so much bigger than me. I proved to myself that even when you’re scared, even when you feel small, you can still do something that matters.

I’m incredibly proud to say we raised €460.00 for Pieta House. As promised, for every €50 raised, I hacked an extra mile across the Heath in Co. Laois — every mile carrying so much more meaning than just distance.

I was joined by my amazing mum on her horse “Mover”, while I rode “HUDSONS BLOW FOR HOME”. We were also lucky enough to have my little best friend Fiadh with us on her pony “KILMURRAY PEDRO PONY”, led so kindly by her mum Sarah. Having them there meant everything — it turned the day into something full of love, support, and strength.

A huge thank you to Sarah, Fiadh, and my mum for believing in me and standing beside me every step of the way. And to everyone who donated, shared, or simply encouraged me — thank you. Every single euro went directly to Pieta House, helping support their life-changing work.

This wasn’t just a ride or a fundraiser. It was fear turning into courage, doubt turning into action, and something that once felt overwhelming turning into something I’ll never forget.

If there’s one thing I hope people take from this, it’s that even on the hardest days, there is help, there is hope, and there is always someone who cares.

With our incredible HUDSONS BLOW FOR HOME — “Rocco” — at only his THIRD ever show, and what a legend he was. ✨

Standing in that ring today was beyond words — it was a moment of pure emotion and triumph. Back in January, this boy was fighting with every ounce of his strength… so close to losing hope, with the odds stacked impossibly against him. Yet today, he walked into Balmoral and shone brighter than we ever could have dreamed, standing proud as the incredible horse he has become.

Rocco has spent his entire life as a huntsmaster and huntsman’s horse, traveling across the country, living a life of hard work and loyalty. This world, this arena — it’s completely new to him. But you would never know it. He LOVED every second of that big grass ring, giving us everything he had with a heart full of courage and joy. ❤️

This day was also a monumental step for us as a partnership. After breaking my arm, I had only ridden him once in the past five weeks. Mentally, physically, and emotionally — today was one of the most challenging days I’ve ever faced. But Rocco, with his unwavering spirit, carried me through every moment. He has the heart and bravery of a horse three times his size.

We may not have taken home a rosette today, but honestly, just stepping into that ring with him felt like winning a victory far greater than any ribbon. Considering where he has come from since January, and everything we’ve endured together — we are overwhelmed with pride simply to be there.

Rocco, you are the bravest, kindest, most resilient horse I’ve ever known. You’ve shown everyone — including us — that second chances do exist, no matter how impossible things seem. Your story is one of hope, courage, and the power of never giving up.

We believe in you with all our hearts, and we promise to share your incredible journey far and wide because your story deserves to be told.

We love you endlessly, Rocco. 🤍

Welcome the newest member of the Hudsons Horses team..Sprinkle 🧁Irish Jack Russell Terrier 🇮🇪
It took nearly a year to find her, and we couldn’t be happier with this little lady. ❤️
She’s a perfect example of the breed standard, sporting a 52% white coat with white legs, chest, and belly. She carries the ‘B’ gene, which gives her a beautiful pitch-black nose. Her shoulders are well set and nicely sloped at a 90-degree angle from the shoulder blade. Her front legs are strong, straight, and well-boned, while her hindquarters are powerful, square, and correctly angled at the hock. Her tail is high-set and carried proudly.
This gorgeous tri-color girl has a smooth coat and is currently 9 weeks old. She comes from an excellent lineage—her father is another striking black and tan, and her mother has a rich tan and white coat. we’re incredibly pleased with this little lady; she truly is one of a kind.🫶🏽

Another penny update — not the news we wanted, but that’s just how life goes sometimes. It’s now been two weeks since the fall down the stairs, and after three hospital and healthcare clinic visits, we finally have a clear answer. Sadly, it’s not just a broken hand — we also have a broken elbow and wrist. Definitely not what we hoped to hear.

Right now, our main focus is on healing and recovery. That means plenty of rest, heat pads, hot water bottles, and working with to help speed up the process. The heat and friction on my arm have made my skin sore, but thanks to Bee Kind Ireland ( )eczema lotion, the irritation has eased after applying it — it’s become a vital part of our daily routine and is really helping keep my skin in check.

We’re still in casts and taking it easy, but I’m hopeful we’ll be back on our feet soon. Huge thanks to my incredible mum and the team for looking after the horses and keeping everything running smoothly while I’m out of action. And thank you to everyone for your visits, messages, and calls — your support truly means the world.

I’ve seen all your calls and messages, and I truly appreciate each one. I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can, but for now I need to focus on letting these bones heal. Wish I could say it’s a crazy story, but falling on the stairs hurts more than you’d imagine! 😂🙈 Thank you all so much for your love and support.
