“HUDSONS MERMUS” done the double and for the second year in a row won the Athlone Show Inhand Coloured animal 🎉
Continuing her winning streak she also won the open intermediate srt/shp 🥇

What a fantastic day at the Athenry Agricultural Show 🚜🐴 Only three horses on board, but we brought home some amazing results !!

🏆 'HUDSONS MOVER' made us proud, finishing 4th in the 3yo & over Connemara gelding class — expertly handled by Matthew Newell. He then went on to place 3rd in the Novice Ridden Connemara Pony class, beautifully ridden by Penny Hudson Kelly.
‘Moo’ had a successful second day out and was the only chestnut Connemara competing — what a star!

✨ 'HUDSONS MERMUS' was in top form, winning the 3yo & over Inhand Coloured Horse class and then taking the 🏆2025 INHAND COLOURED STOCK CHAMPION OF ATHENRY SHOW🏆 , expertly handled by Matthew. Penny then took the reins and rode 'Harriet' into the Intermediate Show Hunter Pony class, where they continued their winning streak!

🎉 Last but not least, ‘HUDSONS LUCAARELLI ROSA’ claimed victory in the 153cm Show Hunter Pony class, ridden by Charlotte Kelly.

Penny Hudson Kelly and 'Hudsons Mermus' are making their 2025 debut at the Balmoral Show. Haz rode incredibly, impressing not only Penny but also the ride judge—it was as if she hadn't left the ring! She clinched third place in a strong ridden coloured class.
Lovely to see the pair back in the ring again !!
