Filler training for 4 year old Georgie yesterday, started off thinking they might bite but quickly realised they didn’t! Great forward progress, he’s coming on beautifully. 🥰

Our 4 year old Georgie going beautifully today and finally looking like the blood horse he is again after a summer of lazing around the paddock. Big thanks are in order to Jason Byrne has been doing an incredible job bringing him on the last while and they have developed a lovely partnership already.

A fab final show of the season at the IDHBA National Show yesterday. Our lovely girls all took a ribbon home and we didn’t get too much of a wetting!

Carrafarm She’s Electric ISH (TIH) won the TIH foal class & received her first TIHA rosette - Leia is a 9 week old filly by Carrick Diamond Royale ex Pagestown Harmony.

Pagestown Harmony ID was 2nd in the older Irish Draught mare class - 13 year old mare by Crosstown Dancer ex Liskillen Harmony.

Carrafarm Homecoming ID was 4th in the stinted mares. Juno was a Covid foal and this was her second ever day out- she was so well behaved, she has such a kind nature. Juno is a 5 year old mare by Lionwood Kinsale’s Lad ex A Sky Full of Stars.

Absolutely delighted to take home the Timmy Sullivan Cup today from the lovely Iverk Show where April was 🥇 in the Irish Draught Mares class, she is really enjoying this year’s show season. Princess Leia was 4th on a hot filly foal class, the judges loved her, she was just a little bit teeny! Rua came too for the Rose of Iverk class, thanks to Liz for all the hard work getting her ready and leading her up, she was so good as usual. Really love this show, great rings and so much to see!

✨ Our very first homebred from a homebred Harry Potter has found a wonderful new home across the Atlantic. From the Bank Holiday Monday evening he was born, he never gave us a minute’s trouble and brought us so much joy in his short time here. We had a couple of lovely outings together, and he took everything in his stride. ❤️☘️

Our Irish Draught mare, April, gave us yet another brilliant day out at the Dublin Horse Show on Thursday. We’ve always loved to add a touch of blood to the mix while keeping our breeding firmly along Traditional lines, and this year April’s 7-week-old foal, Leia was the sole entry in the part-bred Irish Draught class. The judges, stewards, and commentator Peter Quirke were wonderfully kind, and we’re truly grateful for their words of thanks for our support of the RDS.

April has consistently passed on her correct conformation and floating step to each of her five foals. Among them, we are fortunate to have two Traditional Irish Horse fillies who we hope will, in time, play their part in preserving and strengthening the Traditional herd.
