This long awaited foal landed into our lives last night, just on the verge of 349 days gestation.

After we sadly lost her first foal Jay at 3 months 5 years ago we put Joy back under saddle and she jumped around some of the biggest Working Hunter classes in the country with bravery & style (though usually a bit too enthusiastic in her way of going for the judges!). She also had great success in the dressage ring. Joy is super well related with a 4* eventer and lots of top SJ performers in her damline.

Her new c**t foal is by the Irish Draught stallion Steeped in Luck and like his mum is a Traditional Irish Horse. 🍀

3 year old filly Rua arrived in the yearling’s field yesterday for the summer, they were being very brave approaching until she lifted her head, their reaction is hilarious! 😹

A stunning 4 year old Lionwood Kinsale’s Lad gelding goes Irish Draught Champion at Balmoral today, bred & owned by Margaret Edgill & beautifully produced by Shane McKenna. He had some presence & daddy’s trademark pingy canter!

This guy is from the last crop of Angus, as is our Irish Draught stallion Carrafarm Courage & fellow Class 1 approved son Kilmovee White Lion. Hopefully his sons can continue their daddy’s legacy. 💞

Another nice memory popped up today of Pagestown Harmony competing at Northern Ireland festival in 2017 - she’s the dam of our Class 1 Stallion Carrafarm Courage & TIH gelding Carrafarm Better Together who is heading to Goresbridge next Thursday.

They didn’t lick it off the stones! 😂 🚀

A lovely memory came up today of a just born Stella, Carrafarm Constellations. Stella is by Lionwood Kinsale’s Lad out of our mare A Sky Full Of Stars and was our first Irish Draught foal - she went on to win the RDS Irish Draught Performance Class 5 years later with her new owner & producer Sarah Maxwell! 💞 This year’s foals aren’t that far away. 🤞
