A great day out last weekend at the last arena one day event of the year at Hanley's 🐎👌
9 entries from CHS + great fun + performances all round, lots of first timers and loads of prizes for our lot 🥳
A mixture of dressage only, show jumping, combined training and full ODE. Looking forward to doing more of these next year 😎🏇🥳

All horses here at CHS have had autumn worm count + equisal tests in the past weeks + are en route to being healthier + happier from the inside out thanks to all of the guidance, support + expertise of Targeted Worming Ireland ❤️🐴🪱🐛💩

*Available for loan* 🐎
13.2hh connemara mare available for loan- owner would like her to be kept here but a local home may be considered.
Lovely temperament to handle, groom, catch, box, hack etc.
Suited to lead rein + hacking for child or small adult- extremely quiet but a bit backward for a novice rider to get going in canter.

🎉🎉Chestnut Hill Stables is open 10 years today!!! 🎉🎉
Wow! This milestone deserves a long post so here goes 🤪🐴🦄❤️
13th October 2016 I opened the doors to CHS Galway- 15 years after my first move from Dublin to Fermanagh I made the brave move from Fermanagh to Galway to start a new life + business.
I started with one school pony, one school horse + 8 stables!
Back then I was 6 years since qualifying as a BHSII, 15years qualified experience from PTT to AI (BHS instructor qual's )+ 25 years experience pony club, hunting, show jumping, eventing, working hunter and showing and 11 years ago I decided to specialise in competing at Dressage.
There have been many changes here in these 10 years.. facilities, horses + ponies, people + very much me....- 10 years more educated + experienced having kept ontop of my CPD throughout + also regular training for my riding- ..
with some non negotiables from the very start for the management of the horses in my care- year round turnout, ad lib forage + managing school horse work load so they don't get overworked - being some that I will never compromise on regardless of bills + business demands.
The addition of pony parties this year has been a great hit + I have more plans up my sleeve to suit this ever evolving business and I plan to continue to educate myself in this ever evolving equestrian industry..
None of the above has been possible without the constant support of family, friends, staff, service providers + all of my clients either livery, lesson's, horse share or similar throughout the years.. thank you all for supporting in your various ways and taking a chance on a blow in 🤪 and I'm very proud to say that quiet a few people are still here since 2016 🙏👏🤗 and Blue the pony legend at 20 years young 🦄❤️🎉 and I almost forgot about my best girl Fendi- also here from the start - 13 years young now 🦄❤️
here's to many more years of team CHS 😎
Some of my fav photos from this year ❤️
