Just some useful info to share if you find a baby bird.

Please, I am begging you, please leave fledglings alone to be cared by their parents.

Rehabbers all over are having to deal with normal healthy fledgling birds because well meaning people want to 'save' them
Please sit back for 30 mins at a distance and watch to see if the parent birds come down to feed their fledglings.

They make much better bird parents than humans.
We can't teach them bird behaviour and communication.

We have the licence and facilities to hand rear nestlings and avieries to allow them to learn to fly and get flight fit for release but flesglings are fine to leave as they are already 90% of the way there themselves.

Keep cats inddors as much as possible and if you think the bird is injured please phone your local licenced wildlife rehabber for advice before 'rescuing'

It really all adds up. Thank you everyone.

We are about to hit the road and get all this much needed food to Wicklow Animal Welfare.
Keeping our donation basket at reception all year round has proved to be a great success. Thank you to everyone who has donated supplies at the clinic and to the team at MaxiZoo Gorey. 🐾❤️🐾 We’ll do another food run again soon. Oh and thanks for the newspapers! The back seat is loaded 😁
