There are seven of these 6mth. old cockerels in need of new homes.
They are used to dogs, cats and kids.
If you would like to offer one, or some of these cockerels a home, please leave a comment.

PLEASE ::
PRIVATE MESSAGE with your chosen area to collect, number of hens, and your phone number.
Bring adequate transport containers ie cat carriers, sturdy cardboard boxes with lots of air holes, one per two hens, or larger dog crates.
Check Dept of Ag for current regulations.
Adopt Fees apply.
Please keep these hens as warm as possible, they are used to very warm conditions inside, up til now ..

We hope to save as many hennies as possible - please help us .. Please Please READ the following carefully ::
🌺PLEASE Private Message ONLY with your collection point, number of hens and phone number ..
We will not be able to answer comments - Private Messages only ..
🌺Please travel a bit to save your hens .. we are very low on helpers/drivers ..
🌺Please bring adequate transport boxes, ie cat carriers, sturdy cardboard boxes with LOTS OF AIR HOLES, one per two hens, or dog crates, which can safely hold more hens ..
🌺Please ENSURE you have warm coops/sleeping sheds with loads of bedding and a sheltered outdoor run initially - these hens may be very bare and will become ill and die if not kept very warm..
🌺Please check Dept of Ag Website for current regulations ..
🌺 We may have to change drop points / transport runs - please keep a watch on our page ..

UPDATE

This great guy Josh, with the help of Claire, a volunteer with Littlehill, is collecting all of the hens, not yet collected, and taking them to LittleHill this evening.
The unfortunate little girls will be safe and warm, with full tummies.
It’s been a very difficult rescue, as there were so many people involved and these little girls had no food or water for weeks, so I hope you understand if you’ve been disappointed, but it’s critical they get help as soon as humanly possible possible.
If you were hoping to go to Cashel next weekend, there won’t be any hens there, for homing, they will be in Littlehill.
Thank you all for your kind offers of help, all were very much appreciated.
Thanks to all of you who have taken some hens and given them a chance, I don’t have all the names but here are the ones in front of me.

A very kind man living in Duleek, Co Meath, is going to collect some hens from Cashel today.
He’s very kindly offered to collect extra hens and drop them off to people on his route back.

UPDATE.
apparently there are more hens than previously reported.
Some are in very poor condition, needing help asap.
Time is now a very important factor, as these birds are not being looked after, in any way.
Can you please help these poor little girls?❤️

Is there anyone near Cashel, or would travel to Cashel to help hens, some are in a poor state.
Apparently they were used for egg production but are now no longer wanted.
To date we’ve had about 30 homed, and Littlehill will take the rest in , if they’re dropped off, but aren’t in a position to collect.
Is there anybody who can help these poor little souls?🐓
