Autumn calving started this morning. This first-time pedigree Charolais heifer was making no progress having her calf so the farmer called for assistance. After a quick examination, we decided to perform a C-Section, which was in the best interests of both the mother and calf's welfare. Thankfully, a gorgeous bull calf was delivered without trouble. Both mother and calf were great patients. Fingers crossed for a smooth recovery for both. Mom was treated with painkillers and she will be on a course of antibiotics for a week. This bull calf should have a bright future as the sire of the suckler cattle of tomorrow.

A young male tabby cat 1-2 years old was hit by a car earlier on Duntaheen Rd. A passerby rushed him to us but, unfortunately, his injuries were very severe and he was euthanised on humane grounds. If anyone is missing their cat then please make contact with us.

Hi All. A client sent us in a message about a kitten she wants to re-home. If anyone is interested then please contact 025 33060

This sweet young male cat was found emaciated on a rural road—but with lots of care, he’s now thriving and ready for adoption! He’s around 8 months old, fully vaccinated, wormed, neutered, and microchipped, and has gone from just 1.7kg to a healthy 3.6kg.

He’s litter trained, playful, and settling well into indoor life. His fur is still slightly stained from his rough start, but that’s improving and will fade with time.

He’s a friendly, social cat who loves to follow people and the resident cat around for company and play. While he adores her, she isn’t quite as interested in reciprocating—so he may do well with a more playful feline friend.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion with lots of personality and a second-chance story, this little guy might be the perfect fit 💕🐾
