We think quite a few of you will remember this beautiful girlโฆ ๐ฅน๐พ
A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Daisy, the little collie whose story touched so many people.
According to the information provided to us, Daisy had spent 8 years of her life living outdoors on a chain. When we collected her, that chain weighed an unbelievable 3kg and was so heavy duty that it had to be cut off with wire cutters.
She had been left behind when her owners moved back to their home country and thankfully a concerned landlord made the phone call that changed Daisyโs life. โค๏ธ
When Daisy first arrived with us, she was absolutely terrified. She didnโt trust people, she didnโt understand what was happening, and after everything she had experienced, we knew she was going to need more than just food, warmth and a comfortable bed.
She needed rehabilitation, patience and specialist support. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน

On the 21st of August, Daisy went to Lauraโs Canine Academy, (L.C.A)rehabilitation facility, where she could receive the individual support she needed.
And in just over a week, the work Laura has done with Daisy has been nothing short of incredible. ๐ฅน๐
Daisy has some neurological/behavioural difficulties which may stem from the trauma and prolonged restriction she experienced during her previous life. She is also extremely nervous around adults, particularly men.
Interestingly, Daisy appears much more comfortable around calm children and seems to find it easier to place her trust in them. โค๏ธ
Laura describes Daisy as hesitant and cautious, but underneath that uncertainty is a complete sweetheart just waiting to bloom, just like her namesake. ๐ผ
With patience, understanding and specialised care, she is slowly learning how to trust, explore and simply be a dog.
And one thing Daisy absolutely LOVES?
Her freedom. ๐ฅนโค๏ธ
Walks. Exploring. Sniffing. Moving wherever she chooses.
No heavy chain. No restriction. No more life at the end of a tether. ๐พ
For a dog who spent so many years unable to make those choices for herself, watching her experience that freedom is incredibly special.

Daisy isnโt looking for just any home.
She needs a very special, patient and understanding home where nobody expects her to become a completely different dog overnight.
Eight years of fear and uncertainty cannot be undone in eight days.
Her new family will need to allow her to progress at her own pace, continue the work that has already begun and understand that there may be little bumps along the road.
She needs someone who will celebrate the tiny victories, approaching for affection, relaxing in the same room, enjoying a walk, playing, or simply choosing to trust. โค๏ธ
Ideally, we would love to find Daisy a quiet, calm home with a secure garden, with someone who has experience with nervous or traumatised dogs, or who is willing to listen, learn and work with the guidance provided.
Because somewhere out there is the person who wonโt look at Daisy and see a โdamaged dog.โ
Theyโll see a little collie who survived eight years on a chain and finally deserves to discover what being someoneโs beloved family member feels like. ๐ผ
From a 3kg chain to running, walking and exploring freelyโฆ
Daisyโs life has already changed forever. Now we need someone to help us write the next chapter. โค๏ธ๐พ

Please share Daisyโs update. Her first story reached thousands of people, maybe this one will reach the person sheโs been waiting eight years for. ๐ผโค๏ธ
