🌟 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲’𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹 🌟

WOW, after our appeal for little Minnie, we were blown away by the LOVE you all showed! 💌
So many amazing people applied to give this sweet 16-year-old terrier the retirement home she deserved. 🐾 Thank you all! ❤️

It was a tough choice, but when Karen reached out, with her experience and love for Jack Russells 🐶 - we knew Minnie had found her perfect match! 🏡

Minnie took the long trip from Leitrim to Carlow in her stride 🚗💨 … and when she arrived, she marched straight into the shallow pond to say hi to the ducks! 🦆💦

That night she curled up all cozy 💤 with a look that said: “I can’t believe this is my life now!” 🥹💖

An amazing offer from Sabrina Phelan-Dog Behaviour! ❤️
Sabrina has so much knowledge on dog behaviour and training which has helped many of our dogs on their journey to their forever homes🥰

🐶 A wee reminder that I give discounts on behaviour/training support for people who have adopted a bull breed from a rescue.
🐶 I now also offer FREE support to rescues who need help with any of their bull breeds in kennels or foster homes.
It’s a year since I first offered this and in depressingly predictable fashion, the situation for dogs in rescue, especially bull breeds, has only gotten worse.
Having worked in rescue for years I also understand the huge emotional toll this will be taking on rescue staff and volunteers.

Fly has had a very rough start in life. Before arriving at our centre, he spent most of his days shut away in a tiny crate, often left in terrible conditions. His coat was matted, and it seemed he had never even known the comfort of being washed or cared for.

With just a little love, a bath, brush, flea/worm/tick treatment, and a soft, clean bed,Fly blossomed into the sweetest, most affectionate boy. He is a gentle soul who loves attention and radiates happiness wherever he goes.

Fly would thrive in an active, adventure-loving home. He would love hiking through the woods, days at the beach, or exploring new places. A family or individual who enjoys the outdoors and has time to give him plenty of love and attention would be his perfect match.

If you are considering breeding your Collie, please know that they are the most abused and abandoned dogs in Ireland. Collies are notoriously difficult to rehome, and sadly, many cannot find homes here. If they are lucky, some are transported to Sweden or England to find families.

You may love your dog and want it to have puppies, but there is no guarantee the owners of those puppies will feel the same. Dogs like Fly too often end up in the wrong hands, suffering neglect and hardship through no fault of their own.

👉 Please choose adopt, don't shop. So we can give dogs like Fly the second chance they deserve.

Betty is a sweet, affectionate little French Bulldog who is ready to leave her past behind and find a forever home. She loves cuddles, thrives on attention, and will make an amazing addition to a loving family.

📖 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆

Betty came to us as a stray, sadly covered in fleas and never reclaimed. (Video in comments of Betty’s fleas.) She has since received flea and worm treatment and is already so much happier and brighter.

It’s clear that poor Betty has had more than her fair share of litters over the years, but that chapter of her life is now over. She is already booked in to be spayed next week, so no more puppies for this little lady - only comfort, love, and care from here on out.

Betty is a true little diva, she will demand her fair share of cuddles and fuss! She enjoys company and would do best in a home where she won’t be left alone for long stretches. She seems happy around other dogs and cats and we believe she would be fine in a home with children too.

French Bulldogs are prone to some health issues, particularly with skin and breathing, so please make sure you research the breed before applying.

Betty is very clean in her kennel and we feel she’ll settle easily into a home environment with no accidents. She is an easy-going girl who deserves a chance to finally be spoiled and loved.

💔𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 - 16 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 💔

Imagine giving your whole life to a family, only to spend your final days in a kennel.
That’s Minnie’s reality right now.

Minnie is a sweet 16-year-old terrier who was surrendered along with 5 dogs and 20 cats when her owner had to emigrate. She’s gentle, loving, and so deserving of comfort in her golden years.

She has stage 4 heart failure and needs daily medication, but she’s still bright, happy, and enjoying life. After having 9 teeth removed, Minnie is feeling much more comfortable, proof that she’s not ready to give up just yet.

But kennels are no place for an elderly dog. Lonely nights are not how Minnie’s story should end. What she needs is a warm bed, gentle hands, and someone who will love her for however long she has left, be it months or another year.

🐾 Minnie doesn’t have forever… but she deserves comfort, dignity, and love for the time she has.

Meryl is an incredible all-round dog who would be perfect for almost any home 🐾. She’s used to livestock 🐑 and has happily lived in a bustling household with 20 cats 🐱, 5 other dogs 🐕, and even a parrot 🦜!

Sadly surrendered, Meryl is now searching for her final forever home, a place where she’ll be truly adored in her golden years 💛.

We know older dogs are often overlooked, but we’d like to remind everyone: life is never guaranteed. Even with a young dog, there’s no promise of many years ahead. Opening your heart to a senior like Meryl can be one of the most rewarding experiences you’ll ever have ❤️.

𝗔𝗴𝗲: 5 years (turning 6 in September)
𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱: Chihuahua
𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: Male

Blue may be small in size, but he’s got a big ego and plenty of charm! 🐾
He’s not a barker, he prefers to strut around like he owns the place. Blue is fine with other dogs 🐕 and walks well on the lead 🚶‍♂️.

When Blue first arrived, he was a little bewildered by the kennel environment and felt nervous, which did lead to a snap 😔. However, he’s since settled in beautifully and we’ve had no problems with him since. He’s booked for a dental and neuter next week 🦷✂️, and since he has a cracked tooth, we hope that once it’s sorted he’ll feel even more comfortable and happy ❤️.

Blue would be best suited to an adult-only home where he’ll be truly adored 🏡.

Loki is an amazing, happy-go-lucky boy 🐶 who’s great on the lead and gets along well with other dogs 🐕‍🦺. He was sadly surrendered after reportedly snarling at a child, but here with us he’s shown no signs of possessiveness, just a friendly, cheerful nature 💛.

Because of the information provided to us, Loki can only be rehomed to an 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁-𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 or a home with teenage children 🏡.

🐾 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 🐾

A few weeks ago, a mother cat and her three tiny kittens were cruelly dumped in a box outside Ballinamore. A kind-hearted lady spotted them on the road and saved them. At the time, the kittens were just 3 weeks old, far too young to be out in the world alone. 💔

Their mother has sadly suffered greatly at the hands of humans. She isn’t just feral, she is deeply traumatised. In the nearly 7 weeks she’s been with us, she has never left the safety of a box in her cat tree. She will soon be spayed and moved to a safe farm home, where she’ll be cared for and free to live life on her own terms, at a distance from people.

Now, her three beautiful black kittens, full of life, love, and trust are ready to find their forever homes. We want them to have the happy, safe lives their mother never had.
