Puzzle ❤️ love that I can still follow this boys journey. We went to the RDS Horseshow in 2016 and he is still my profile picture. He is such a special horse, it was hard to let him go but what a great life he has with Lizzie, great adventures!
Pony of the Week - Puzzle 🧩
'Hi! I’m Lizzie and this is Puzzle, he is a 17 year old (18 in August) 16hh Irish Draught x Cob. I have owned Puzzle for two years on the 13th of February and we found each other when I was 13 turning 14 and he was 15 going 16!'
'When I first got Puzzle, he had just come back into work for a few months after having a year in the field and I had just come straight off my second pony. I had never competed before let alone knew anything about Dressage! In that first year of owning him I went from knowing zero to have gone out competing Dressage and already giving an unaffiliated Novice a go and always ending in the placings!!'
'In the winter of '24/25 we didn’t get out and about as much, so we began to knuckle down and really work on us and our Dressage together; we managed to qualify for the NAF Regional Championships as a team in the Grassroots on our first attempt. When we were there we did one of our best tests which got 73% and came first in our Section to get us into the ride off and 5th overall!!'
'Our Pony Club (Vale of York) also won as a team, and Puzzle and I have now begun to progress even more - beginning Novice and hopefully further in the near future!! I think Puzzle deserves this as he has been the horse of a lifetime to me, he has given me back every bit of love for the sport and given me new loves! He has a fan club wherever he goes and he is just a lovely boy that no one can resist!'
