Hollie visited the hospital recently to have an acupuncture session with Vet Clare.

Acupuncture involves inserting very thin needles into specific points on the body, known as acupoints, to promote healing, relieve pain, or restore balance to the body’s energy flow!

More urine testing!

Max the cat visited the hospital as he was having issues toileting

Pamela performed some tests on his urine and prepared a slide for vet Leonie to look at under the microscope.

Here are some photos of what she found.

Crystals!💎

Crystals are solid waste particles that form in a cat’s urine.

Waste materials can be concentrated inside of the bladder, resulting in stones or crystals. This is especially common if a cat is dehydrated, eating primarily dry food or in some cases eating a low quality diet.

These crystals can only be seen under a microscope, but over time they can get bigger, and eventually can become stones as big as the bladder itself.

Max is now on a special diet to see if it will help these crystals dissolve!wish you a speedy recovery Max!

He visited the hospital to have his 1st vaccination!💉🩺

He loves his cuddles and was falling asleep on his new owners shoulder!🥰

Here is a video of vet leonie performing the ultrasound on Pippas bladder.

Swipe to see a photo of some urine crystals which were found under the microscope when we tested her urine sample.

Urine crystals can cause blood in urine and can be quite painful.

Lily is a 9 year old, unneutered female Cavalier King Charles
She visited the hospital as her owner noticed she was feeling under the weather.

Vet Clare suspected a pyometra and an ultrasound was performed. This confirmed Vet Clares diagnosis.
A pyometra or pyo for short is an infection in the uterus. It can be fatal if left untreated for too long!

Emergency surgery was the performed to remove the infected uterus.😷🚑🩺👩🏻‍⚕️

Here Lily is at her 3 day check, and again at her 10 day check post op.
She has recovered very well from her surgery. We are all delighted as she is the sweetest girl!💗
