✨️ A weekend I'll never forget! 🌟
The Celtic Coat Industry Awards & Conference

A whirlwind of emotions from start to finish!

I was honoured to be a part of the grooming panel at the inaugural Celtic Coat Industry Awards & Conference. To share a stage with my IDOL, Isabella Jane Doblas Jones was daunting and immensely gratifying. 💖 I hope that some of you went home with a little more knowledge in your pocket. 🐾✂️💜

I then had the joy of learning from - The fabulous Jackie Polson - I could listen to her all day! - as well as Tracey Douglas & James Holberry , who were both fantastic on stage!! 🐾✂️❤️‍🔥

After the conference the room was transformed into a glittering ball room and the Industry Awards began!! 🏆🌟 The energy in the room was electric! ❤️‍🔥 After the Awards, the party started!!! The craic we had! from squeezing multiple heads into a box, dance- offs and lighting up the dancefoor with candle rave sticks!!! 🕯🤪🥳

To be nominated alongside groomers I admire, was an honour in itself, and to hear my name being announced, was a little overwhelming, in the best possible way 💖 I am eternally grateful to everyone who voted for me.

A huge thankyou to Michael Shiels & Tanya Salas for putting on this fabulous event. You two Champion every groomer out there. 💞

Tanya, your wit, humour and honesty help break away so many barriers.
Michael, your no bu****it 🤪 supportive presence is intoxicating, you have such a magnetic energy.
From those who are nervous to compete to those who want to feel connected. You both are always there giving support and making us all laugh! ♥️ ✂️💙

Together, you are force to be reckoned with 💪💙💪 And I think its safe to say, every groomer in the country is thrilled to have you both. 💞

I had an absolute ball, with the best company. I feel incredibly lucky to have such supportive, uplifting fellow groomers around me. 💪🐾💖

Congratulations to all the winners & to every nominee - you should be so proud of yourself, the nomination itself is testimony to your dedication, passion and hard work! 🥳🏆✂️

A special thanks to my travel buddy, Mary Dempsey. And to my fellow Wexford groomers Mary Mullins, Audrey Stamp, Jade Dunphy and Tina for your fabulous company.

Gorgeous Rosie was in for her groom. The last 2 photos show her with 2 different lengths on her head and muzzle. Her owners like to keep her body short so a shorter head style suits her better.

To me, rural pursuits mean walking in the woods, enjoying a picnic, going for a hike, or watching birds. Fox hunting, however, is not a rural pursuit — it’s cruel and unnecessary. Claiming it should continue because it’s part of our culture and heritage ignores the suffering of the animal and shows a lack of compassion.

I want my president to have compassion for everyone in Ireland — for people and for animals alike. True leadership means protecting the vulnerable and showing kindness in all its forms.

🌟 What a whirlwind of a weekend! 🌟

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to Judge at this year’s – 🐾✂️ What an incredible event — from the stunning venue and delicious food to the amazingly talented (and brave!) competitors who showed up to share their skills. The energy in the room was phenomenal! 🙌✨
A huge thank you to the entire committee for being so kind and supportive. This was my first-ever judging role, and I’ll admit, I was a little anxious to begin with 🥰 — but your encouragement made all the difference.

A special shoutout to Joanne Daly, who honestly has the intuition of a witch 🧙‍♀️ (a good one, of course 😇). She always seems to know when you need a kind word or a thoughtful gesture. 💜

And , the local d♡ug dealer who saved the day 🤣💩 — thank you!

To everyone who came up to me over the weekend to wish me luck, share kind words about my seminar, or thank me for my feedback — you’ll never know how much that meant. The imposter syndrome was real, and your encouragement helped quiet that voice. 🥰

A huge thank you to Orla, Kobis owner, for letting me grow him into a hairy monster again! 🐶✂️ To .stamp for bringing him. The seminar focused on how to achieve an easy salon style with 90% comb attachments. I’d hoped for a smoother finish, but I like to think seminar grooming is more about teaching than perfection. I hope you all took away a few new tips and tricks! ✂️🐾

To everyone who competed this weekend — well done. The months of prep, early mornings, and long days aren’t easy, but the buzz, excitement, and sense of community make it all worthwhile.

My Ipdga perpetual trophies are going to a new home this weekend. Possibly the first time since I started competing that I won't have at least 1 of these bad boys in my care! 🩷🏆🩷

This year I will be attending, as a judge and not a competitor. I am so looking forward to this weekend and seeing groomers from all across the country, competing, learning and coming together to support this wonderful show. 🐾✂️🐶
