🐾 Antifreeze (Ethylene Glycol) Toxicity in Cats is a serious Emergency, if you think your cat has ingested antifreeze call the clinic ASAP

Ethylene glycol, found in antifreeze and engine coolant, is extremely toxic to cats. Even a tiny lick from a spill, puddle, or contaminated paw can be fatal.

⚠️ Why is it so dangerous?
It tastes sweet, so cats may lick it. Once ingested, it rapidly causes acute kidney failure
There is no safe amount

⏰ Time is critical
Treatment must begin within hours — once kidney damage occurs, prognosis is very poor.

🚨 Early signs can be subtle:
Lethargy or weakness
Drooling or vomiting
Unsteadiness
Increased thirst or urination
Collapse or seizures

🏥 If you suspect exposure:
This is an IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY
Bring your cat to a vet straight away
Do not wait for symptoms to appear

🧤 How to protect your cat:
Clean up antifreeze spills immediately
Store antifreeze securely
Check driveways and garages for spillages
Consider pet-safe antifreeze alternatives
