嚟做絕育同陰部整形🐶
某些母狗天生會有「會陰內縮」（Recessed V***a）的情況，導致外陰位置深陷於皮膚皺褶中。由於皺褶內容易積聚尿液及分泌物，容易成為細菌溫床，引發外陰部皮炎或反覆的泌尿道感染（UTI）。
為解決這個問題，獸醫一般會建議進行陰部整形手術（Vulvoplasty）。手術會切除多餘的皺褶組織並進行縫合，將皮膚向上拉提，令外陰部回復通風乾燥，從根治發炎問題。
📍 哪些狗狗是高危一族？
先天品種：常見於英國鬥牛犬、法國鬥牛犬、八哥、沙皮及波士頓㹴等。
後天因素：若狗狗體重過重，陰部周圍堆積多餘脂肪，亦會形成深層皺褶。因此，保持健康體態對預防此症至關重要！
🔍 寵主日常觀察徵兆：
獸醫通常會在絕育評估時發現此問題。如果家長發現狗狗出現以下情況，應盡快尋求醫護協助：
✅ 過度舔舐私處
✅ 排尿異常（如頻尿、尿尿時顯得焦慮）
✅ 私處紅腫、潮濕或出現異味

Some female dogs are born with a condition known as a Recessed V***a, where the v***a is deeply tucked within skin folds. These folds can easily trap urine and secretions, creating a breeding ground for bacteria and leading to v***ar dermatitis or recurrent Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs).
To resolve this issue, veterinarians typically recommend a Vulvoplasty (also known as Episioplasty). This surgical procedure involves removing the excess skin folds and suturing the area to lift the surrounding tissue. This ensures the area remains ventilated and dry, effectively addressing the root cause of chronic inflammation.
📍 Which dogs are at higher risk?
Congenital/Breed Predisposition: Commonly seen in breeds such as English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Shar-Peis, and Boston Terriers.
Acquired Factors: If a dog is overweight, excess fat and skin around the pelvic area can also create deep folds. Therefore, maintaining a healthy body condition is crucial for prevention!
🔍 Signs for Pet Owners to Watch For:
While veterinarians often identify this condition during a pre-spay evaluation, owners should seek professional medical advice if they notice the following:
✅ Excessive licking of the private area
✅ Abnormal urination (e.g., increased frequency or showing anxiety while urinating)
✅ Redness, swelling, moisture, or unusual odor around the v***a
