We need to talk about this weather 🌡️
At 8:30 last night it was still 32°C — and we passed people out walking their dogs. We really feel for those pups.
Please remember — British dogs are not acclimatised to this kind of heat. They simply aren't built for it. And it's not just the temperature, it's the humidity too. That combination makes it so much harder for them to regulate their body temperature, even when you think it's cooled down.
It's still 22°C through the night. By 7am it's already climbing again. There is no safe window right now.
Ask yourself this — could YOU walk around barefoot on that pavement, wearing a fur coat? Because that's exactly what you're asking your dog to do. 🐾
If you're unsure, place your hand flat on the pavement for 7 seconds. Can't hold it there? Neither can their paws.
Your dog will not die from missing a walk. They could die from going on one. 🖤
Please share this — it could save a dog's life 🧡
