Bright and early trailing this morning to beat the heat

We had some fantastic trailing, it was a busy environment as lots of people getting their dogs out before the sun. But they all handled it amazingly!

We looked at how to handle more busy environments - especially with the dogs that can struggle with the increase of dogs being around, how we can help with motivation and road work 🤩

A week of walks, thankful for the weather staying cool enough this week 🙏

Nice little trail session today 🤩

Layla and Winnie did some fantastic trailing!

We worked on noticing all the different signals they give us, how we can notice they may want to change direction or how they need a little time to work out which way to go.

Layla can struggle around other dogs so it was lovely to see her just hanging out with Winnie after she found her 🥰 another win alongside trailing!

I am now on holiday for two weeks 🥳
Some much needed time to fill my bucket, relax, recharge and enjoy my birthday 🤩

Carrie will still be in for some grooming appointments and there will be the occasional post, but all messages will be replied too when I return on 26th July.

Just a massive thankyou too everyone for being so understanding and accommodating with this heat we have been experiencing, being self-employed working with dogs and mainly outside is tough in the summer, but i wouldn't change it!

Stay cool everyone and if you experience rain next week, its was me, my constant rain dance finally worked 😂😂

Puppy school graduation 🎓🐶🥳

Well done to Nellie, Waffle, Tilly and Bandit (we missed you) for smashing their 6 weeks. They all worked really hard and it shows!
I love watching them flourish and gain all their skills for well rounded puppies 🥰

Lovely sessions trailing this weekend 👣🐾

We got out nice and early to avoid the heat and did some rolling pet trails.
They all did so well, especially as it was very busy with everyone getting out with their dogs, so way more going on than usual at that time of the morning.

Minnie passed her Beginner pet trail assesment too 🥳

Thankyou to everyone for being so understanding with the changes/cancellations.
One thing we cant control is the weather and Our top priority is keeping your dog safe 😁

Another heatwave is on the horizon…

Across the country, your dog professionals will already be looking at the forecast and making plans.

Can sessions be moved earlier?
Will some need to be cancelled?
Should walks become drop-in visits instead?
Is that venue still suitable?
How do we keep everyone safe?

And, somewhere in amongst all of that, there’ll probably be a quiet moment of wondering how the bills get paid if a week’s work disappears overnight.

That’s part and parcel of being self-employed and one we’re happy to accept because working with your incredible dogs really is a privilege.

If you’re wondering how you can help your favourite dog professional during weeks like this, it doesn’t have to be anything huge.

Those little things genuinely help. They keep small businesses visible, they remind us why we do what we do and, honestly, they make us smile on days that can be a bit stressful.

To everyone who supports small dog businesses in ways big and small…thank you. We see it, we appreciate it and we never take it for granted. ❤️
