⚠️ HEATWAVE UPDATE ⚠️
Due to the extremely high temperatures forecast for next week, the safety and wellbeing of the dogs in our care must come first 🐾☀️
As things currently stand, we will be suspending ALL walks on Monday & Tuesday next week.
We will then continue to monitor the weather for Wednesday & Thursday, with the possibility of accommodating some early morning walks between 08:00–10:00 🤞 We will keep all clients updated closer to the time once we have a clearer picture of temperatures.
Although walks may be suspended, we will still be offering “pop ins” as an alternative. These visits will allow dogs to:
🐶 Go to the toilet in the garden
🐶 Have some playtime and enrichment
🐶 Get fresh water, fuss and company while staying safe and cool indoors
We will be contacting all clients who are currently booked in on these days to confirm arrangements and time slots.
🌡️ Keeping your dogs safe during the heatwave 🌡️
• Avoid walking dogs during the hottest parts of the day
• Check pavements with the back of your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws
• Ensure plenty of fresh water is always available
• Keep dogs in cool, shaded areas where possible
• Never leave dogs in cars, even for a few minutes
• Watch for signs of heatstroke including excessive panting, drooling, lethargy or vomiting
Thank you all for your understanding and support — we know how much everyone loves their walks, but keeping our pups safe is always the priority ❤️🐾
