An interesting development…

FIFA have seen how well preparation is coming along for the woof cup, and have got in touch to ask if we here at the daycare would be willing to offer them some help in organising the far inferior Football World Cup.

So, in an unexpected turning of the tables, it’s time for the daycare dogs to put our staff through their paces…

As the host town, it’s also up to the residents to put the arriving woof-ball superstars through their paces ahead of the first matches and make sure their up to speed skills-wise to wow the world on the grandest stage of them all.

From Germany – Manuel Nibbler, Lothar Mutt-häus, Franz Bark-enbauer, and Thomas Püller

From Spain – Xabi Abonzo, Lamine Ya-Malinois, David Saliva, and Fernando ‘El Cachorro’ Torres

And from England – Harry Kong, Gary Lick-ener, Pawl Gascoigne, and Whine Rooney

The bone was the final test of everything the dogs have learned this month…

And our scuba pups have passed with flying colours!

The Bone was eventually discovered beneath some rather unaccommodating Sea Anemones which bore a strangely close resemblance to our snuffle mats… so the dogs weren’t too phased.

So into the lost city of Puplantis the dogs ventured, and discovered its myriad wonders:

Ancient ruins of libraries
Huge debating halls
Rejuvenating spas

Finally our daycare dogs could experience the life of a true Puplantian, and boy did they make the most of it!

After the long-awaited draw to see which city will host the 2026 Canine Woof Cup, we are ecstatic (albeit a little overwhelmed) to announce that the honour goes to…

BARKSVILLE!

Uhhh, yeah. So that’s something.

We mentioned we put our name in for consideration but we never expected to actually get chosen.

It’s now up to us to organise an exceptional opening ceremony, perform the national anthem before the first match, and paint a mural that shows off Barksville’s rich history.

We now need all the help we can get to pull this off.

ARE YOU HAVING A WOOF CUP SUMMER?

Although somewhat overshadowed by the far more popular World Cup, the Canine Woof Cup is undoubtedly the biggest sporting event of the dog year.

Maybe it would be better known if it didn’t directly coincide with FIFA’s copycat tournament every year. But hey, tradition is tradition.

And it just wouldn’t feel right not having a Woof Cup once every 28 dog years.

It’s just a few days until the host city is announced…

Will it be New York? Will it be London? Paris?

The canine world is on the edge of its seat to find out.

And yes, Barksville did throw its name in the hat but only for the free bag of treats.

We’ve officially set sail for the sunken city!

The dogs have boarded an era-appropriate ship and headed east over the Atlantic in search for the ancient underwater land.

But when they reach the golden gates of Puplantis, they find that there’s one more article they must find in order to gain entry…

The Sacred Sea Bone is the only thing that will unlock the gates.

Apparently its buried somewhere beneath the sea floor waiting to be sniffed out.

The coordinates have been revealed!

We finally figured out how the Echo Points work…

They operate like an early version of sonar, so all we needed to do was provide them some sound and see where it lead us.

Naturally, we turned to the loudest dog in the daycare, Trigger for help, and boy did he deliver.

So, by bouncing Trigger’s bark-waves off the echo points and calculating the various distances, some of the smartest dogs in our daycare have been able to mark out the most likely location of Puplantis on the map.

Now all that’s left to do is set sail…
