POV: The food is THAT good. 💃🪰😂

Most jumping spiders prefer to enjoy their fly in peace and quiet, usually staying relatively stationary while they tuck in...

But not Pixie! Apparently, dinner calls for a full-on happy dance! 🤣🕷️

A little wiggle here, a little shuffle there... She's clearly having the time of her life!

10/10 for enthusiasm. Slightly questionable table manners. 😂💜

Isn't he a gorgeous boy?! 😍

He's usually such a shy little soul, but since maturing, he's been spending much more time out and about, proudly showing himself off. I suspect he's on the lookout for a lady of his own! 👀

There's just one little problem... I've only got his sister! 🥹🕷️

Half term holidays are coming to an end and I'm starting my new job tomorrow, but we've made the most of a little break!

-Trick or Treating
-Halloween gig last night

Someone clearly forgot to tell Boba that geckos are supposed to be graceful! 😂🦎

One minute he's just chilling, the next launching himself into the air like he's got somewhere VERY important to be!
I think he loves his Dad more than me 🥺

I could watch this little character all day. Their personalities are just as brilliant as their acrobatics. And that little face at the end? 🥹😍

🩵 Boys appreciation post!! 🩵

I got Flea as a tiny little i2 dot and have loved watching him grow 🥰

I find the boys are always so friendly and massively underrated. My first ever jumping spider was a beautiful boy called Cosmo who would just sit and fall asleep on my hand. He was the reason I fell in love with spiders... 💕

Who else loves the boys??

Newest addition to our little home zoo 🥰💚

Welcome Pickle! 🥒

A Rough Green Snake (Opheodrys aestivus), native to South East of the United States 🌎

They're arboreal snakes that love lush vegetation for climbing and camouflage.
Unlike lots of snakes, they're diurnal, meaning they're active in the day time 🌞

They're insectivores, and although they stay very slender, they can grow up to 80cm long 🥰

We're excited to learn more about our new arrival and share the journey with you all! 🌿🐍

Can you teach a jumping spider that you're not a threat? 🩷

My opinion? Absolutely!

I've had Ametri for a little while now but compared to my other spiders, she is nervous, fast and skittish.
Her body language could be mistaken for being playful and curious, but when you spend time with spiders a lot, you can tell the difference.

I've been spending time holding her enclosure with the door open and placing a finger in there but not near her to show her that I'm not going to hurt her.

At first, she would run away and hide.
Then she didn't run but didn't come close.
Then she'd touch me, panic and run away again.
Today, she came out by herself and onto me before panicking and trying to jump away.
Slow and steady progress 🥰

I'm hopeful that she'll become trusting, but I'm also aware that all spiders are different and some just like being left to their own devices and won't continue to push handling if it's obviously too stressful.
