Meet Mavis

she is an 11 month old Lurcher x

Mavis needs to live with another dog ideally as is very social and loves to play!

Mavis could live with a confident cat ( not a cat that would run away ) she currently in foster with a confident cat and she’s fine

She is great with children but can be bouncy so older children only

Mavis needs lots of exercise and is very intelligent , she is not a “lazy lurcher”

she will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation and enjoys long and active walks

Mavis is House trained sleeps quietly over night in her crate

She is good off lead but needs on going training as she gets excited to see other dogs on a walk and may not always come back when called the first time

Not spayed hasn’t had her first season so will
need to return for spaying

Can still be puppy mouthy when excited so will need a firm but kind owner to be on top of this

⭐️ housetrained

⭐️ crate trained

⭐️ can live with older children

⭐️ can live with dog savy cat

⭐️ needs to live with another dog ideally

⭐️ can be left up to 4 hours IF she’s had adequate exercise beforehand

⭐️ will need an owner who is active and likes long walks

Mavis is a loving girl and needs her forever home

🎄 🎅 Christmas seems so far away but we would like to be organised and get the poppy’s Pals Christmas Calendar in order 🎅 🎄

Please If you would like a chance of your Poppy’s Pals adopted dog to be featured on the calendar please comment with your photo

if your dogs photo is chosen I will ask for the original file to get the best quality photo 🙂

The photos will be chosen at random so it’s totally fair, and any not chosen will be displayed on the back page in the collage of dogs adopted from Poppy’s Pals so nobody’s left out!

If any printing companies may be able to help give a discount with printing to save costs this would also be greatly appreciated!

This boy is massive and was very close to being pts

rescues don’t seem to have the capacity anymore to take large dogs as they are always so full

we are very lucky we have kennels and can accommodate these large breeds that have no other options 😞

Bryns first foster home didn’t end in adoption, but he has now truly landed on his feet with another Presa x girl and owners very experienced with the breed

He is still technically a foster , but it doesn’t seem he will be leaving anytime soon ❤️

Clemmie is a young saluki x no older than 2

she is a sweetie and enjoys sleeping and having lots of attention

⭐️ can live with another dog

⭐️ can live with children

⭐️ no cats or small furries

⭐️ will need somebody home a lot of the time

⭐️ walks well on the lead

⭐️ will need further housetraining

she is the sweetest girl and deserves a lovely family to come and sweep her off of her feet

Pepper is the sweetest soul

she is looking for her forever home

she is more whippet than lurcher, slightly larger than a whippet but not as big as a full size lurcher

⭐️ needs a quieter home as is very quiet in nature

⭐️ older children

⭐️ very dog social

⭐️ could live with another dog

⭐️ sleeps most of the day

⭐️ walks perfectly on lead

⭐️ very affectionate

⭐️ will need further housetraining although knows to hold on to to outside if let out regularly

⭐️ not cat tested but likely not as likes to look at squirrels moving 🫣

⭐️ could be left for a couple of hours happily

Wilbur needs his forever home

He is 6 months old and is a spaniel x

he has had very little socialisation with people and other dogs ( although now he adores dogs )

He gets all his confidence from other dogs and would love to live with a dog / dogs

he has also lived with 10 cats

He is initially very wary of strangers but soon warms up after a tasty treat and some gentle cuddles

he needs a home where he isn’t going to be pushed and is allowed to do things at his own pace

He has lived his life in one room since a puppy so is very much enjoying the outside world

He is getting more and more confident every day

he is reported to have been around children, however we feel a child free home would be best for him as would panic if cornered or was bothered too much

⭐️ Will need a calm home where he can decompress at his own pace

⭐️ would love another dog to gain confidence from

⭐️ can live with dog savy cats

⭐️ needs people that will work on his socialisation around busy areas and new people

⭐️ wary of men so may need several meetings with men before feeling comfortable

⭐️ will need further housetraining

⭐️ needs somebody home a lot of the time initially

This boy hasn’t had the life he deserves and is still a baby, he has so much to give and just needs a chance

W***y has come safely through his operation! l 🎉
