I am really disgusted by The Dog's Trust behaviour in this situation. An extremely responsible breeder, who put so much time, thought and energy from mate selection onwards, trying to to the right thing by the dogs she bred, dismissed out of hand and breeder contract ignored. And yet charities constantly berate breeders.

There is also the very strong possibility that a gundog who was specifically bred to work and compete is now in entirely the wrong home, which doesn't serve the dog or the new owner.

Will definitely be writing to them to express my thoughts.

Last class of the day saw very soggy spaniels ans handlers doing a FAB job working on their retrieve pattern, starting memory retrieves, building distance on retrieves and sending into light cover. Finished with a little bit of hunting to get started on that quartering pattern. Well done everyone!

My poor foster spaniel had quite a reaction to where he was shaved for an injection recently, so I was very grateful for this antimicrobial wound care from Lillidale Animal Health UK which really helped soothe it and speed up the healing.
