Please take note of our opening times over the bank holiday weekend:

📅 Saturday 23rd August – 8:00am to 12:30pm
📅 Sunday 24th August – Closed
📅 Monday 25th August (Bank Holiday) – Closed
📅 Tuesday 26th August – 8:00am to 6:00pm

⛰Locum Vet Required – Lake District Area⛰

📅Monday 1st September – Monday 3rd November 2025

We are a friendly, independent mixed practice based in North Cumbria, on the edge of the beautiful Lake District.

Due to maternity/paternity leave and a routine operation for one of our senior team members, we are looking for a locum vet to join our team at short notice.

We welcome applications from small animal, mixed, or farm animal vets.

What We’re Offering:
40 hours per week
Day shifts: 8:30am – 5:30pm (with a one-hour lunch break)

On-call cover:
3 weekends:
12th–14th September
10th–12th October
31st October–2nd November

Possibility of one evening per week on call.
Time off is allocated following on-call duties.

Meet Alduin, this confident 4 month old fluffball came in today for his routine weigh and worm appointment. 🩺

He was totally at ease, full of purrs, and curious about everything especially our weighing scales. 🐱

We love seeing our young patients so relaxed and confident! Regular weigh and worm appointments are key to keeping kittens like Alduin parasite free and healthy.

We look forward to seeing Alduin again soon 🐈‍⬛🐾

We now must examine your pet in person before prescribing Prescription only Medication treatments (like Bravecto, Nexgard, etc.) — just like we do with antibiotics.

But don’t worry — we’ve got you covered!

✅ Book a FREE 5-minute health check (limited times available!)
⚖️ We’ll check your pet’s weight and lifestyle
📄 Then we’ll create a 12-month parasite prescription plan

🔁 This bug plan will need to be renewed every 12 months with another check-up to make sure your pet stays protected and safe.
