KWK9 Rescue

KWK9 Rescue A Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation SCO41937 We aim to match each dog with the new owner who best meets the dog's needs.

Our Aims:

To offer dogs a second leash of life:

We aim to offer the best possible care to our dogs while they are with us and until their right 'forever home' is found. We will interact with and assess each dog while in our care, so that new owners can be provided with as full a picture as possible. We will carry out a home check to assess suitablility prior to adoptions. We will offer advice an

d support to new owners prior to and after adoption. We aim to try neuter when it is in the best interest of the animal or owner to do so. We aim to microchip where possible.

Bonnie & Clyde

A bonded pair of pugs
Female & Male
Both approx 7 years old

These are a lovely pair. They are extremely friendly and right little characters. They are good with other dogs and are very food oriented (as you might be able to tell ๐Ÿ˜‚).

They are looking for a forever home together as we can't split up Bonnie & Clyde!

They like a small walk, but most of all they are lap dogs who just want to spend time getting attention from people!

Update: Lassie has gone to a fantastic forever home.

We are completely overwhelmed with gratitude to the local community and the many people who have reached out to offer to either adopt or foster these dogs. You have blown us away and we will be forever thankful for your support.

Keep an eye on the page as more coming soon!

Following a difficult weekend assisting police in a very hard situation involving the sad death of the owner of a number of dogs, KWK9 was faced with the responsibility for finding urgent, safe, temporary homes for starving, traumatised dogs.

These dogs had been very much loved by their owner and were traumatised from losing them so suddenly and frail from lack of food and water.

We now need to find permanent homes for these unbelievably lovely, gentle dogs who will need a great deal of loving care in the coming weeks and months.

One such dog is Lassie. An elegant, gentle, frail Lurcher. Lassie is around 14 years old and needs a quiet home with someone home almost all of the time (she becomes understandably distressed when left alone).

A gentle, accepting, canine companion would be wonderful but what Lassie really needs is a human by her side to love her and reassure her.

Due to her age, Lassie will be a long term foster dog. All medical bills and expenses will be covered by KWK9 for her lifetime.

She will need a lifetime commitment from her new family so that she can spend her remaining years in one loving home.

Sorry we cannot consider a family with young children.

If you feel you can help Lassie please contact us by completing a fostering form on our website and mark that you would like Lassie.

After what has proven to be a very busy weekend for KWK9 we want to give a big shout out to Paws At Tors Dog Grooming who did a special home visit for us on Sunday to help a dog who had to be taken into foster care from an emergency situation on Saturday. Tori worked her magic and she was great with the elderly timid dog. We can't thank you enough Tori!

please bear with us if your enquiry isnโ€™t responded to as quickly as we would like. The team is dealing with an emergency animal welfare situation this weekend.

Marty ๐Ÿถ

Marty is quite simply an affectionate, gentle, intelligent and well trained dog who is a pleasure to be with. Marty hardly ever barks. Only once or twice have his owners heard him bark.. those occasions were through the night for a very short period most likely when deer approached his kennel.

Initially it was thought he would be a working dog and for a while he did accompany a spaniel. Although curious Marty never developed the full necessary skills pro

bably due to his gentle temperament. Over time he became more of an onlooker and family pet. As Marty has always been a kennel dog he is not housetrained. However, he is very clean and does not soil his kennel or run. He toilets when let out. With a little time and patience we believe house training could be easily accomplished.

With the birth of a new baby who unfortunately suffers from allergies it was decided both dogs would need to be rehomed. Marty is now on his own and needs a new loving owner. This decision was upsetting and not an easy one to reach, especially as he is a favoured friend of the couple's older child.

A rural setting would be best for Marty who has spent his life on country estates and is unused to town settings. Marty could be rehomed with a family, couple or single person leading an active lifestyle giving him plenty of exercise and fresh air....all he needs apart from love is the initial commitment to take time over his house training. If you feel he is the companion for you please apply to adopt using our online form.
Terms - Marty will have to be neutered when rehomed.

These two adorable girls will have to go into foster care if there are no serious inquiries.
Our foster carers are amazing but it would be far better for these two lovely ladies to go from their home to their new home ..
Please complete an application form if you would like to be their new family
