Our Aims:

To offer dogs a second leash of life:

We aim to offer the best possible care to our dogs while they are with us and until their right 'forever home' is found. We will interact with and assess each dog while in our care, so that new owners can be provided with as full a picture as possible. We will carry out a home check to assess suitablility prior to adoptions. We will offer advice and support to new owners prior to and after adoption. We aim to try neuter when it is in the best interest of the animal or owner to do so. We aim to microchip where possible.

🐶Little Minnie needs a very special home
Minnie is a tiny 11 year old Patterdale. Sadly her owners can no longer care for her.
Minnie needs a quiet, calm, home with someone who understands the behaviour and needs of a dog suffering from severe separation anxiety.. She cannot be left alone.
She needs to be the centre of someone's world and she will make that person the centre of her's.
Minnie is very affectionate and loves cuddles. She does not get on with other dogs or cats and would need to be an only pet.
Although she gets on very well with children, we feel it would be best if there were no children in the household.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO PAWS AT TORS, DOG GROOMING, HELMSDALE

Our little girl Gina who came to kwk9 at the weekend was given some extra special tlc by Tori Lou.

Clipped, bathed, nails trimmed, two hours of calming and reassuring to help this traumatised 14 year old feel so much better.

Your kindness and generosity are appreciated much more than this little thank you can ever express!

Chip 🐶

Chip is an almost 8 year old toy red poodle.
He is looking for a new loving home ❤️
He loves to sit on your lap to get lots of pets and loves to lick and give his affection back.
He loves to play with toys.

He isn't very good with other dogs or cats, he would be best suited if he was the only pet house hold.

Rose & Maid 🐶🐶

These lovely collies are looking for a new home 🐕

Rose (1st picture) is 8/9 years old, lovely girl and loves affection, she has lots of energy.

Maid (2nd picture) is 11/12 years old, again lovely girl loves attention and loves to run and explore.

These are mother and daughter they have lived in kennels their whole life, so it will take some adjustment, time and patience for them to be in a home. They can be homed together or separate.

We are thrilled to tell you Quinn is now settling into her new home. We received some truly wonderful applications for her and we thank everyone who played a part.....not only the applicants but also those of you who shared her post....together we made it all possible!

Thank you to everyone who attended our dog show on Saturday, it was a fantastic day and we were blown away by everyone's generosity.

It was great to have so much support from the local community and to get to meet so many adorable pups, both young and old.

A special thanks to our judges Trish & Viv, presenting the Sighthound Rose Bowl donated in memory of their mum Rose O' Brian.

It couldn't be done without the help of our fantastic volunteers who always go above and beyond!

A big shout out to Sarah, Lewis, Mags and Lola for helping out on our stalls, especially at such short notice, you are stars!
