🎃🐎 ANNUAL HELLS HORSEMEN RIDE 🐎🎃

👻 HALLOWEEN — 31ST OCTOBER 👻

Calling all village horse riders, horse owners & horse lovers! 🐴🖤

Join us for our Annual Hells Horsemen Ride — a fun, spooky dress-up ride through West Kilbride village to celebrate Halloween in true equestrian style! 🎃💀

Come along, meet the horses, get dressed up and join us for a walk through the streets of the village.

📍 MEETING POINT: West Kilbride Train Station 🚂
⏰ RIDE SETS OFF: 11:00am
📸 Please arrive before 11am for photo opportunities!

🧙‍♀️ THE RULES 🧙‍♂️

🎃 Any dress-up theme is welcome, but costumes must be child friendly.

🐴 Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and anyone riding must wear a riding hat.

🛡️ To take part, you must have:
• Equine public liability insurance
• Good road-riding knowledge
• A sensible horse that is safe around traffic and crowds

🚗 Parking: Limited parking is available at Yonderton Farm, Ardrossan High Road. Please message us in advance if you require parking. Otherwise, please park wherever it is safe and appropriate within the village.

💩 CLEAN-UP NOTICE: Whom it may concern — all horse p**p will be cleaned up from the route upon completion of the ride. 🧹🐴

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE! ⚡️
~ horses on path ~

For any walkers who pass through the fields between Law Brae & Ardrossan High Road.
Some of this path crosses through our land at Yonderton Farm & Stables

We have opened the path for the horses to eat down the grass and weeds🐴 🌾 this more is beneficial for the environment than using machines or chemicals.

The rope fencing all around is ELECTRIFIED ⚡️ This is required to keep the horses safe & where we need them. 🐴

🔸Please note, entering livestock fields is done at your OWN RISK. ⚠️ 🚑

🔹 Please DO NOT touch, feed or approach the horses. 🍎 👋

🔸Please put dogs on a lead whilst on our property 🐾 horses can be territorial towards them too.

🔹Please stay on the footpath 🚶‍♂️

🔸Please DO NOT touch the rope fencing (it hurts) ⚡️

🐴 HORSES MAY: BITE, KICK, PUSH, TROD ON, CHASE OR BUMP INTO YOU 🐴

Whilst there is a “right to roam” in Scotland, we are also entitled to use our own land for our animals. We advise finding an alternative route whilst horses are present. 🗺️

🚨 Horses are checked constantly by ourselves & their owners throughout the day 👮🏻‍♂️

🌳 Please be aware of your surroundings & respect the animals who live there when choosing to enter private farm land with livestock. 👩‍🌾

⭐️ 2 BLACK CATS FOUND ON ARDROSSAN HIGH ROAD ⭐️

Update: both kittens now caught safe - no microchip & assumed abandoned. Both with village vets

We received calls this morning from concerned drivers for 2 small black kittens which have been running around the Ardrossan high Road - both at risk of being hit by cars.
We have successfully caught 1 kitten and trying to catch the other.
We will be taking them to the village vets

Please PM us if they might be your kittens
