Job Title: Holiday Cover Dog Walker
Location: Wellington/Taunton & Surrounding areas
Employer: Waggin’ Adventures

About the Role:
Waggin’ Adventures is looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible dog walker to provide cover while I am on holiday. You will be responsible for ensuring dogs in our care are exercised safely, cared for with kindness, and returned home happy and healthy.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely walk dogs on pre-arranged routes (solo or small groups, depending on dog compatibility).
• Monitor dogs’ behaviour and wellbeing during walks.
• Provide fresh water, ensure comfort, and towel dry dogs if needed.
• Follow client-specific instructions (feeding, medication, or behaviour notes where applicable).
• Send walk updates to clients.
• Maintain a high standard of safety, professionalism, and care at all times.

Requirements:
• Experience handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Genuine love and understanding of dogs.
• Reliability and strong time management skills.
• Good communication skills with both clients and team members.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking outdoors in all weathers.
• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
• DBS check and references required.
• Pet first aid qualification (advantage but not mandatory).

Hi everyone,

Some of you may have noticed that my van has a scratch and dent on the side. Unfortunately, someone hit it while I was out on a walk. Thankfully, it’s still completely safe and driveable, but sadly I don’t know how it happened as I wasn’t there at the time.

I just wanted to let you all know in case you were wondering why the van isn’t looking its best at the moment. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon!😔
