Today, we're celebrating some of the lovely furry friends that regularly keep us company here in the offices at Swanspool. They belong to some of our staff members, and work very hard in brightening our days and keeping us all motivated!

Meet Kim 🐾

He's a lovely golden labrador who visited us recently to be castrated. A very bright and happy patient throughout, he even realised his own skill for robbery and decided to become a notorious shoe thief!

We are urgently looking for the owners of a cat that has been brought in to us seriously injured. He is a neutered male and was found on Shelly Road. He looks to be a ragdoll/snowshoe type of cat. He has no chip but is wearing a collar.
He is currently receiving treatment but we are urgently looking for his parents

She is a Border Collie who came to us for routine vaccinations a few weeks ago.

Border Collies are credited worldwide for being one of the most intelligent breeds of dog, with their IQ averaging about the same as a 4 year old child!

We have had an older black and white male staffie cross dog bought in to us as a stray. He is chipped but the details are incorrect.
He was found near Morrisons in Wellingborough.

🦔 ** Save our wildlife!** 🐿️

With another scorching week ahead of us and our gardens and countryside already feeling the effects of months with very little rain, we would like to encourage everybody to think of our local struggling wildlife at this time and provide them with a little help.

-Rehydration stations; leaving a dish or a bowl of water out will help to hydrate birds, insects and other wildlife. Placing a pebble in the water will ensure insects such as bees do not drown.

-Water stations and bird baths should be changed regularly to stop disease spreading.

- Keep bird feeders stocked. Hard dry soil makes it hard to birds to find earthworms and insects so they need supplemented with extra food.

- Leave out meat based dog or cat food for hedgehogs (no fish or milk).

-Create shelters or leave overgrown plants for shade during hot days.

- If you have a pond, it would be useful to create a ramp in and out so thirsty wildlife do not drown.

This is Mildred, a tiny loving cat who needs a home

Mildred was brought in to us as a stray and unfortunately her owners have not come forward for her.

Mildred loves a lap to sit on and is quiet and content in the kennels. She has been litter trained throughout her stay here.

Mildred would prefer a home as an only pet as she is so small and is daunted by other pets.

She is being spayed tomorrow and we have microchipped her.

Please message this page if you would be interested in rehoming Mildred. We will be choosing the home that would be the best for this special girl.
