Some foxes just didn't get the wild animal memo..... He does so love his home comforts 🤦‍♀️ 😂.

This is one of our residential foxes Klaus. Unfortunately he wasn't deemed suitable for release as he came in to rescue already imprinted on humans! He is a good example as to why it is so so important to contact a wildlife rescue or rehabilitation center. Foxes are highly intelligent and can form very strong bonds to who they are imprinted. Once they are imprinted it is almost impossible to reverse it. If we were to release him he would not have the instincts needed to survive or defend himself and would likely seek out human assistance.

Been a busy few weeks here at A Furry Tail!! we are honoured to tell you all we are taking on 3 new rescue foxes! Unfortunately the fox rescue community suffered a hell of a loss recently meaning many foxes were in need of new placements! We have been working tirelessly to ensure we have a safe, secure & enriching new enclosure for these 3 beautiful souls. We plan to welcome into our hearts over the weekend! We are running very low on royal cannin puppy milk and need more wet kitten food. It is getting busier and busier with new intakes so please bare with me with posts! Obviously Van Gough and Tikka are doing amazing and van Gough's ear has totally heeled! We have Lucy who came in with suspected toxo so is being treated for it! And we have had another little male cub come into us today who was left behind by mum and dad! After a couple of days/ night waiting for mum to come back unfortunately she didn't so we have had to being him in. These are just a few of the over a dozen of baby animals we have here currently! so please if you can help with food or donations towards our never ending work it really really does help!

Thank you all so much for your support and items from our wishlist! The cubs are both doing well! They had a bath today which was not a popular decision but after being dried off, given snuggly blankets and their heat pad I think I was forgiven. Van Gough ear is healing well and looking nice and healthy! Both boys are putting on weight and causing trouble already!

Bit of a heart wrencher today. Got called out to this poor little boy who has lost an entire ear!! It's a clean cut possibly as a result of an accident as he was found in a garage with alot of broken glass. So trip to the vet, clean up, antibiotics pain meds and back in a few days to check up. His poor brother was dropped by the mummy fox unfortunately hitting objects as he went down! So he has also been checked out and thankfully it's just bruising nothing broken! So meet Van Gough and his brother tikka as he is just alittle bit spicy!!
