A big thank you to our receptionist Heather for the great job she does keeping the planter outside the Warwick surgery looking so lovely 🌸🐝

The colourful flowers not only brighten up the entrance for our patients and visitors, but also help support local bees and pollinators β€” a small touch that benefits both our community and the environment.

As the month continues, we’re highlighting the incredible work and skills of our amazing nursing team.

Here’s Jenna providing comfort to Gwen after she had to be made sick for eating medication. To make matters worse, a knife was also discovered in her bed β€” thankfully without causing any injury.

Veterinary nurses play such an important role in patient care β€” from monitoring and treatment to keeping pets calm and comfortable when they need it most πŸ’š

As the month continues, we’re highlighting more of the important work our veterinary nurses carry out every day.

Today, we’re focusing on in-house laboratory testing. From running urine samples to preparing and analysing results, our nurses play a key role in helping us reach quick and accurate diagnoses. πŸ§ͺ

These photos show Heathcote nurse, Laura carrying out in-house urine testing 🐾

Their care and attention behind the scenes help ensure our patients receive the best possible treatment.

We’re so proud of the dedication and skill our nurses bring to every aspect of patient care. πŸ’š

Yesterday, we said a very fond farewell to our lovely vet, Fliss, as she begins her maternity leave.

We’re going to miss her hugely around the practice, but we couldn’t be more excited for this special new chapter for her and her husband, Olly πŸ’š

Wishing them both all the very best as they prepare to welcome their little one into the world! πŸ‘Ά

As we continue celebrating our amazing veterinary nurses, today we’re highlighting another important part of their role β€” dispensing repeat prescriptions.

From carefully preparing medications to ensuring prescriptions are accurate and ready for collection, veterinary nurses help make sure pets receive the ongoing treatment and care they need safely and efficiently.

As the month continues, we’re shining a light on even more of the vital work our veterinary nurses carry out every single day.

Veterinary nurses play an essential role within practice, bringing a wide range of skills and expertise to patient care. Today, we’re highlighting the importance of surgical preparation before a patient enters theatre β€” a crucial step in maintaining a sterile environment and helping to minimise the risk of infection.

Pictured is Warwick nurse Lorna, carefully preparing a patient ahead of surgery.

Last night, some of our team attended a fantastic CPD event at Warwick Castle.

As part of their professional development, our nurses complete 15 hours of CPD each year, while our vets complete 35 hours to ensure they stay up to date with the latest knowledge and best practices in veterinary care.

The evening included a lovely meal and an interesting lecture on feline and canine behaviour β€” a great opportunity to learn, reflect, and spend time together as a team.
