🐾 Coco’s Cuddly Check-up! 🐾

Today Martin visited Coco for her 6-monthly health check.

Coco is a very friendly and excitable puppy who absolutely loves attention, which made her health check nice and easy for Martin! 🐶

When Martin started examining her, Coco was thoroughly enjoying all the fuss and attention. After the initial excitement wore off, she began to relax and settle down. At one point, she even decided to lie beside Martin and rest her head on his lap. ✨
The good news is that Coco breezed through her health check with no problems at all.

With everything looking great, there was plenty of time left for some extra cuddles, this time with Coco making herself comfortable on Martin’s lap! ❤️

Just a quick reminder of our opening hours this warm and sunny bank Holiday weekend!

We are open:
Friday 22nd May 9am-5pm
Saturday 23rd May 9am-5pm
Sunday 24th May 9am- 3pm

We are then on annual leave until Thursday 28th May (back on Friday 29th May!)

That’s the Spot! 🐶

Today Martin went to visit Coco for her annual vaccinations

Coco has had several trips to the vets previously and now recognises the building straight away, which makes her quite stressed before even getting out of the car. Her owners reached out to us so she could receive her vaccinations in the comfort of her own home instead 🏡

Martin spent some time with Coco and her family first so she could settle and get to know him before carrying out her health check and vaccinations.

Although Coco was not too impressed with the injection itself 😅, some yummy treats and plenty of reassuring cuddles afterwards quickly helped her warm back up to Martin.

Before he could leave, Coco made herself comfortable right between Martin and his bags so she could have a few more cuddles before he headed off to his next appointment.

My Bag of Treats!

Today Martin went to visit the very cheeky Conon after his owner had a few concerns and wanted him checked over 🩺

During the visit, Martin offered Conon some treats. At first he was not too sure if they were up to his standards… but after trying a couple he decided they were VERY tasty 🦴🐶

Before anyone could stop him, Conon grabbed the entire new bag of treats and ran off into the garden! 🏃‍♂

After a few minutes of Martin chasing him around trying to retrieve the treats, it became very clear that Conon was not giving them up without a fight 🤣

In the end, his owner had to negotiate with a bribe, a giant Dentastick, so Martin could finally rescue the treat bag! 🐾

A Home Visit – to the pub!?!

Everyone’s home is different, and for little Marcel, his just happens to be a pub!

His owners got in touch as he had not quite been himself for a couple of days and wanted to make sure everything was alright.

Although a little shy at first, Marcel was very sweet, and with a reassuring cuddle from his owner, he soon felt more at ease. After a full check over, we were happy to give him a clean bill of health 💙

And no, Martin could not stop for a drink… there were more pets waiting for help at their homes! 😊

Dashing Dexter! 🐾

Yesterday Martin went to visit Dexter, who had injured his leg.

Dexter is always full of energy, so his owner caught him zooming around the garden a little too fast and overdid it! 💨

Even with a sore leg, he was still incredibly excited to see Martin, greeting him with a big smile and a very waggy tail, as always! 😊🐶

He is such a cheeky boy and absolutely loves having his photo taken 📸

That was not so bad… but I will just sit here in the corner 😸

Yesterday Martin went to visit Ruby, who had not been feeling her best.

Ruby has not always been a fan of health checks and usually prefers to keep the examination time short, but she is making lovely progress. Each time she sees Martin, she is becoming more relaxed and trusting, and is starting to realise that being checked over at home is not so bad after all.

This time, she allowed a much more thorough health check, which is a big win for Ruby 👏

Of course, once everything was done, she still chose her favourite spot in the corner to keep an eye on things… just to be sure everything was in order 🐾
