with Bob and Fozzy! 💜

Almost one year ago, Bob and Fozzy were two cats in our care, two cats that we’re struggling with the environment that they wouldn’t acknowledge any form of interaction from the team😿.

Little did we know, their luck would soon change! 🍀

The opportunity of an environment where they could choose to have interactions or avoid it all together? Sounded perfect for them! Providing them both with the outdoor life that they’d only been used to, but the option to explore indoors if they would like. 🏡

Their adopter got in touch with this to say;

“Bob is doing fab . Seems to be loving life , waistline a little bigger , he does catch rats and mice but also seems to enjoy eating all the chicken feed scraps. He gets a lot of respect !

Fozzy is also a super star. He really loves to play and enjoys strokes, and there are no signs of rays on the barn. “

Occasionally, we do have cats come into our care, and with close observations and their previous history, they can be happier by living on farms or small holdings.

Every year on 16 June, we celebrate in a bid to champion mature and senior cats 💜

When looking for a new cat to join the family, many people opt for cute kittens and younger cats, meaning mature moggies are often overlooked. Sadly, taking them three times longer to find a home😿.

Mature and Senior cats deserve to be championed because each has their own unique character and they can be just as loving and playful as younger cats 😻.

We promise to find a new home for every cat, no matter how long it takes, but we would love to get mature moggies into cosy new homes quicker, as that’s where they’re happiest🏡💜.

If you’ve previously adopted from us, you will have received a knitted blanket made by one of our very kind and talented supporters. 🤗

Knitted blankets are allocated to all cats upon arrival at the centre. Once ready for adoption the blanket will join the cat (or cat's) in their new home to help with settling by providing a familiar self-scented item.🏡
