This is young mini shetland Mr Mole. During the shedding process (shetlands have a double thick coat), the hair had got tangled & and matted, which can cause discomfort, potential skin irritations, restrict movement & put pressure on skin. Getting sweaty & itchy in hot weather. So it needed to come off! Horse welfare is a priority & sometimes clipping is the right option, whatever the time of year. The clippers of choice that did a brilliant job were the Showmate trimmers. Unsure of how he would react being his first clip & it being a sentive job with the hair being very soft fluffy. Im relieved to say he absolutely loved it & was a total star!

Pre Badders tidy for Super Sammy! (Galopin B) Becky & Sam have headed off to Badminton to prepare for the grassroots competition on Wednesday.
