Tank had his bloods taken today, and was a very very brave boy! 🩺

Distracted by a tube of liver paste this sweet boy didnt even notice!! 😂💙 not even a flinch!

I think that cheeky grin says how pleased he was with himself 🫶

Biggggggg Happy Birthday to handsome Ronnie today 🎂🥳💙

Ronnie was celebrating his 11th birthday today and was happy to pose for a few pictures to celebrate his big day..and of course a few gravy bones or 2!

*NEW TEAM MEMBER*

Introducing our new Registered Veterinary Nurse, Lindsey 🐾🩺

Lindsey has worked in the industry since 2019 firstly as a VCA who then went onto study as a student nurse before recently qualifying in 2025

She lives with her 3-legged cat Kuro and a naughty rabbit called Cinnamon 🐰🐱

Lindsey enjoys working in the lab and has a particular interest in Inpatient care

In her spare time she loves to read and do yoga

She recently expanded her knowledge with an amazing lifetime experience to South Africa, where she learnt about some of the challenges they face as well as nursing some of Africa's beautiful wildlife

I'm sure you will all welcome her to our amazing team, be sure to say hello if you pop in 😊♥️

Princess Poppy 🩷🐾

Beautiful Poppy came in to have her Spay procedure last week, and although not a huge fan of the vets she was an absolute super star!!

Poppy can be quite shy on her visits so we tried to make her experience that little less worrying. Lots of reassurance and cuddles from the nurses helped her to feel more relaxed, as you can see from the picture she was very happy to give us a smile!

Elegant Elsie arriving in style for her appointment! 🩷🐾

Elsie underwent surgery 11 weeks ago to repair a cruciate injury, as she was still recovering and still on cage rest she arrived in her chariot!

We had to remove a pesky nail that was causing her some problems under sedation

Elsie was the pawfect princess 👸 all day and enjoyed lots of fuss and cuddles from the team!

Our Story

White Cross Vets Manchester Walkden is a friendly vet practice on Bridgewater Road. Our experienced and animal loving team - all pet owners themselves - provide care for cats, dogs, rabbits and other small pets.

The surgery has facilities which include an operating theatre equipped for anaesthetics, digital x-ray, in-house laboratory, dentistry equipment, an ultrasound and a blood pressure monitor. You’ll find our practice just off the A6 Manchester Road/High Street near Due Amici restaurant and there is plenty of free parking for our customers.
