Nail Clips? - No Appointment necessary!
Some customers do not seem to realise the importance of keeping your dog's nails clipped.
Apart from the discomfort long nails cause your dog, if left unclipped they will start to deform your dog’s toes causing permanent disfigurement and pain. Ideally nails should not extend below the pad and usually need clipping every 4-6 wks
In addition, long nails cannot be clipped as far back as some customer’s request. This is because, as the nail grows, so does the quick inside the nail: the quick is what bleeds if you clip a nail too short. This is especially true for black nails where you cannot even see the quick through the nail and you pretty much have to guess how far to cut the nail. Once clipped, though, the quick will recede as the dog walks on hard surfaces, allowing additional clips to be performed, as it recedes. However, leave it too long and the quick will start to grow again with the nail. That is why we offer a discounted nail clipping service to help get long dog nails back to a suitable length.
