🐾 Meet the Team — Say Hello to Sue! 🐾

We’re thrilled to be welcoming Sue to the team in the New Year! 🎉✨

Sue graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2004 🎓 and has worked in small animal general practice ever since. Having grown up locally, she’s continued her career in the local area.

She has a special interest in ophthalmology 👁️, ultrasonography, and caring for our senior patients , and is also an external examiner for veterinary undergraduate interviews 📚

At home, Sue is kept busy by her Border Terrier, Darcey; Whippet, Bella; two cats, Peppa and Mittens; and her daughter’s Welsh pony, Lou Lou 🐶🐱🐴

When she’s not in practice, Sue enjoys gardening and hiking 🌷🥾 and regularly volunteers abroad on wildlife and animal welfare projects. These include rabies vaccination 🐾, neutering and education programmes 📖, wildlife rehabilitation 🦆🦊, and marine conservation 🌊🐋

Phoebe is a Registered Veterinary Nurse who qualified at the beginning of 2025 and has been part of the Virginia Water Veterinary Clinic team for nearly a year now!🤍

She is keen to continue developing and progressing in her nursing career, with a particular interest in feline nursing and anaesthesia nursing🩺🐈‍⬛🤍

At home, Phoebe has two hand-reared cats, Roo (pictured below — clearly not impressed) and Tiggie, as well as a horse named Louie✨

🐾 Meet the team — say hello to Scarlet! 🐾

Scarlet has over 10 years’ experience working in the veterinary industry and has spent the last two years in a leadership role, supporting the team and championing high standards of animal care as our wonderful Head Veterinary Nurse⭐️

When she’s not at work, Scarlet’s life still revolves around animals. She owns two horses, Check and Rosa, and shares her home with Fern the Labrador as well as her two cats Luna 🤍 and Toothless🖤

You’ll usually find her out on a countryside dog walk, riding, or enjoying time at the beach 🐾🐴🌊

We’re so lucky to have Scarlet leading our nursing team, if you see Scarlet in practice, be sure to say hello — she’s always happy to chat 😁🤍

🐾 Meet the team — say hello to Julie! 🐾

Julie has been part of the Virginia Water Vets team for four years, starting her journey as a part-time Receptionist.

In September 2023, she proudly stepped into the role of Head Receptionist, a position she truly enjoys.

Julie loves building relationships with both new and familiar clients and, of course, meeting all of their much-loved fur babies.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending quality time with her own pets, Bella 🤎and Charlie 💛, as well as relaxing and making memories with her family.

There’s always a smile waiting for you at the desk, say hi to Julie next time you’re in ⭐️ 📞
